Using overarching themes found across literature, as well as giving suggestions for other relevant texts, this class aims not only to help pass any exams, but to also enrich your understanding and appreciation of the subject.

Outside of exams, especially for any adults, this class can be a more freeform discussion of novels or poetry for anyone who wants to enjoy literature on a deeper level but isn't quite sure where to start or what avenues of thought to explore.

About Me

I tutor English primarily because I enjoy English and discussing it with other people. Being able to help guide my students towards more complex and nuanced ideas is an extremely rewarding experience.

My aim for multiple lessons is to reach the point where I can disagree with my student on their interpretation, and still have them be able to produce evidence for themselves. While I am always willing to offer guidance and ideas, these lessons are not for students who simply want to parrot someone else's explanations. they are rather for people who want to expand their own abilities and interests.
