Methodology :

The first lesson is crucial in order to determine the student's strengths and weaknesses. Once the assessment is done, I look for the best method to help them progress. Between lessons, I often leave additional work to consolidate the concepts seen in class and to evaluate progress. As soon as I feel that they are ready, I try to put them in exam conditions so that they can prepare for academic deadlines. The goal is to confront them with very demanding subjects early enough so that they acquire rigor and method. I initially focus on methodology issues. Once students are more comfortable with the form of the assignments, I insist on the quality of writing, syntax and understanding of the course. I hold a BA and MSc in Pure Mathematics from the University of Warwick.
