About Me
Andrew began playing professionally at the age of sixteen in the United States with jazz, blues and Latin bands.
After studying at Berklee College of Music Andrew moved to Paris in 1982 where he performed with among others:
Bobby Few, Ronnie Patterson, Léo Sidran, Laurent Cugny, Philippe Sellam, Yvs Robert, Ricky Ford, Arthur H, Tonton David, Pierre Barouh, Al Porcino, Ping Machine by Fred Maurin ,, Klangafarben with Fraçois Cotinaud and plays in the quintet of François Jeauneau as well as in the soundpainting ensemble the SPOUMJ (direction F. Jeanneau.)
He is co-leader and composer of the Elan Quartet, with Frédéric Firmin and Jean-Michel Couchet and of the Fanfare Des D'Où Dingues and of the Dé Dé Sunbeam quintet with John Handelsman.
He collaborates as a performer, soloist, songwriter and arranger on numerous albums with these musicians and groups and also with Arthur H, Phoenix, Demis Roussos (as lyricist) as well as with Ping Machine, Klangfarben etc.


He is also a composer / arranger of contemporary dance and theater pieces for with, among others, the Red Step Company and with Christine Gérard on his chorography Seeing Double, and composes the music for Mohamed's comedy. Rouabhi: Scams, Cocaine and DIY at the Théâtre du Splendide.
Andrew is the leader and songwriter of his band “WAJABAK” (free-funk), his jazz band Free, Flow and Fly and author of “ALMO” (soul songs).

He also collaborates as a soloist-improviser and records with the creators of the experimental electronic music of the label Trace as well as with the Congolese poet and documentary maker, Apkass,
and recently published Offerings with his group Free, Flow and Fly.
