About Me
Electric and acoustic guitarist, I graduated in 2010 from a master's degree in music education at Francisco de Miranda University, Venezuela. Along with my musical career, I taught for nearly ten years to a variety of audiences.
After working a year as a classical and electric guitar teacher at the Allegro Music Academy in Punto-Fijo, I founded my own “Musicarte” Music Academy in Coro. I spent two years there as administrator and guitar teacher. In association with the teaching team, I collaborated in the development of the educational project and in the organization of shows and musical events.
At the same time, I worked as a counselor with children in schools, and for more than ten years I gave private lessons, at home or by webcam.
During these experiences, I had the opportunity to teach to various audiences, in individual, group and master classes open to the public. I gave introductory lessons to preschool children, as well as lessons in acoustic and electric guitar, music theory, harmony, composition and improvisation to children, teenagers and adults, from beginners to experienced.
Originally a rock fusion musician, my curiosity and my taste for improvisation opened me to other worlds. I was able to play, in concert and in recording, many musical styles: classical European and Venezuelan music, jazz, jazz-fusion, blues, rock, pop, metal, reggae, bossa-nova, samba, salsa, regeaton, bee-bop ....
This allows me to offer students an eclectic repertoire. I like to make them aware of the harmonic and rhythmic logics of each of these styles, in order to open them up to improvisation and composition, and to give them a better understanding of the music they perform.
