In de zangles beginnen we met het aanleren van basistheorie over mindset, ademhaling, ademsteun,... Voor leerlingen met al enige ervaring op zangvlak gaan we meer in op verschillende soorten manieren van zingen bijvoorbeeld. kopstem, mixed-voice, emoties tijdens het zingen, microfoontechnieken,... Wil je specifiek gerichte tips voor bijvoorbeeld. optredens, muziekkeuzes,...? Dit is zeker mogelijk! Ik kijk samen met jou wat jouw noden zijn en wat je graag wilt leren. We gaan niet alleen kijken naar de stem maar ook naar 'Hoe sta ik op een podium?' of 'Hoe verminder ik stress?'. Ik ga dus ook kijken naar de mentale en emotionele aspecten. Ik help je verder op basis van al mijn muzikale bagage die ik ondertussen zelf verder uitbereid! For students with already some vocal experience, we go more into different types of ways of singing for example. head voice, mixed-voice, emotions while singing, microphone techniques,.... Would you like specifically targeted tips for example. performances, music choices,...? This is certainly possible! I look together with you what your needs are and what you would like to learn. We will not only look at the voice but also at “How do I stand on stage?” or “How do I reduce stress?”. So I'm also going to look at the mental and emotional aspects. I am a professional violinist. I graduated with distinction at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels (Master) and hold a Bachelor Diploma from Codarts (Rotterdam). I also pursued a masters degree in Music Education at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels. I teach students of all ages and levels. I have thirteen years of teaching experience in the Netherlands and in Belgium ( privately and at music schools/muziekacademies). In my lessons I help the students to find a good contact with the instrument and cultivate a positive relationship with music by integrating the development of aural skills, sense of rhythm and an optimal body use, enabling them to connect with their musical imagination. The lessons are adapted to each student's needs and wishes.

VOCAL lessons are divided into 2 parts - 1) Warmup Exercise and 2) Singing Exercise. We do both parts in every lessons. Ideally we spend every 2-3 sessions for each song. For kids, a 30-min online lesson / 45-min face-to-face lesson would be long enough for their attention. For adults, it's good to start with a 50-min online lesson! Also, we do music appreciation occasionally during the session. Some other learning materials like music videos are applied based on song choices.

We will also work on different rhythms, notes and tone exercises. During the singing lessons we also work on articulation, the pronunciation of foreign languages and also on the meaning of and your feelings about a particular piece. Of course we decide together what kind of music you will sing. We will also make a journey of discovery together to your favorite music. WHO CAN LEARN TO SING? Anyone can learn to sing. That will be because of the singing lessons. Also singing is good for relaxation, both of body and mind. Singing is simply fun!

Santur training classes will be held online and are completely targeted and useful, so that after a short period of time, a person can easily play simple melodies on the santur. After initial training, you will begin to learn santur playing techniques that are closer to the contemporary style.
