Did you always want to learn trombone? Or do you want to improve your skills? I teach with a strong focus on basics and the joy of playing. You’ll learn how to improve faster and become the best version of yourself. With my experience in the classical world as well as the jazz/pop world, I can be flexible with the repertoire and the styles. I’m sure we’ll have a lot of fun together.

I am available for lessons in both tenor and bass trombone.

I have played in professional orchestras in Scandinavia and Switzerland, as well as touring around Europe many times a year. I have also done my fair share of jazz playing, for example in the Swiss jazz orchestra. I have had excellent coaching and I am very excited to do teaching myself.

Hi,

I’m a Norwegian bass and tenor trombone player, conductor and music teacher. Thanks for stopping by! I am passionate about music in general and teaching has a special place in my heart. I focus on the basics and on having fun, thats the most important things. For me there lays such a joy in seeing the small steps week by week, but also the big picture. As your teacher I can help guide you in the right directions and I can assure you we will play a lot together. Hope to see you, fellow trombonist!

Music theory, an essential subject to deeply understand music.
As I am Hungarian, I studied the Kodály method. It is a rather special method which is characterized by a lot of singing, creativity and rhythmic games, which was invented for the education of the people, not for the musical elite. Its effectiveness is proven by many musicians who have grown up in this extraordinary system.
During the lessons we would do several types of exercises:
- listening exercises
- writing exercises
- sing songs, melodies, chords, intervals...
(I am flexible regarding this subject, the student can advise activities/subjects (ex: history of music...))

The goal:
- find the connection between musicality-instrument-theory
- improve ear (absolute/relative), sight-reading, musicality, theoretical knowledge

💡 I like to approach music as a language. Just as we learn to speak by first listening,
understanding, recognizing, and imitating words before learning to read and write them, I
believe that musical learning should follow a similar path. That’s why I place strong
emphasis on aural development, listening, and internalizing sound before focusing on
notation.

💡 My teaching is based on experience, intuition, and exploration. I aim to create a space where
each student feels free to play, discover, and express themselves, encouraging them to
follow their own curiosity and find personal meaning in music.

💡 I always adapt to the needs and goals of each student. Some come with a clear desire to
study classical repertoire, and in those cases I introduce reading and technical work from the
beginning — but always in a way that connects with the music’s expressive and structural
elements, not just as abstract exercises. I believe analysis, understanding, and creativity can
go hand in hand with solid technical and reading skills. Others want to accompany
themselves while singing, or ask for tools to help them create and develop their own musical
