Cambridge FCE and CAE exam preparation for women and girls
From 36.47 C$ /h
A Cambridge English certificate is a valuable addition to any CV or university application. Passing an FCE or CAE exam requires focused preparation, practice and guidance.
Having worked in a certified Cambridge English exam centre based in Algiers for three years, I personally trained FCE and CAE exam candidates who went on to succeed. I also worked as a Cambridge English Speaking Examiner and Invigilator, so I have extensive knowledge in the field.
In this class, we will focus on each component of the exam you are preparing for: reading, writing, listening and speaking. I will be available for correction and advice throughout the course, giving you all the support you need.

About Me
Hello everyone, and salam alaykum to fellow Muslims! My name is Safia, I now live in Algiers, but I spent my most formative and... awkward years in the UK. In London, I slowly blossomed from wide-eyed child to gawking teenager, an elegant process I am sure a few of you know a thing or two about first-hand.
The gawking teenager is long-gone now, and has been replaced by a mature, sedate adult with many responsibilities and no sense of humour. I studied Anglophone Civilisations and Literature in university, taught English in various schools and then from home, and dabbled in everything from theatre and comics to French patisserie and ice-cream making. I have worked as a translator, proofreader and volunteer student magazine editor. I have trained in creative writing and in 2016 became a certified Cambridge English Speaking Examiner.
I now teach from home as I raise my own wide-eyed child, a baby girl who is currently working on her fourth tooth.

The ability to write coherently with ease in English opens up a world of opportunities, no matter where you are from: study abroad, impress a potential employer, or get your academic work published in an international journal. If you have a creative flair, why not learn how to hone your skills and start that blog or write that book you've always dreamed of?
As an experienced ESL teacher with a degree in Anglophone Cultures and Literature, I can show you how. I am a published writer and a blogger, and have been trained in creative writing specifically, both in Algiers and abroad. Having grown up in the UK, I speak and write English with proficiency, in addition to my native Arabic and French.
The class will focus mainly on academic essay writing, creative non-fiction, dialogue writing, punctuation, style and register. Additional topics may be added according to students' needs.
