About Me
Previously, I taught special education to adolescents with various cultural and ethnic backgrounds in North Carolina for one year at the secondary level. Before stepping into the role, I worked in the field of marketing and public relations which allowed me to use my expression and communication skills daily. Through my teaching experiences and communication studies, I developed critical instruction and classroom management skills, along with a passion for teaching. By engaging students in speaking, grammar, writing, listening, and reading and appealing to diverse learning styles, I helped them improve their accuracy and fluency across key skill areas. As a mother to twin boys with severe autism, I know the challenges faced when dealing with language and communication difficulties and barriers. I am very well versed in the discipline of Applied Behavioral Analysis.
