About Me
I am a formally trained, practicing artist with a life-long passion for art in all its forms.
I am also a UK qualified teacher with many years of experience teaching students of all ages and from very diverse backgrounds.
My current courses focus on the History of Art from the middle ages to the early 20th Century. To illustrate the different developments of Art History - the periods, the styles, the artists - I take my students on virtual tours to two of the world's greatest museums: the Prado in Madrid and London's National Gallery. We zoom in into great quality reproductions of many of the great paintings and analyse significant details. My students are encouraged to contribute to the discussions in a fun, engaging and yet rigorous way.
My aim as a teacher is to enable you to visit galleries and museums around you with a more educated eye and in this way enhance your enjoyment of the great art of the past.
