The course would be designed around literature at an age-appropriate level. Once the book has been selected the reading can begin! It will be important to select the right book for you. We can take it in turns to read through the book in order to advance fluency and listening skills.

Through the course, we will delve into and discuss themes, characters, new vocabulary, and share thoughts and ideas. Depending on the level it could either involve analyzing in detail, learning about the structure of the text or it could be geared towards vocabulary, fluency and a love of books. It will broaden your language and give you confidence!

I have made a list of suggestions you can choose from but you can request any book. I will be able to email over scans of pages that are required for the lessons.

About Me

I am from a small town in the North of Wales! I began teaching early on, where I started teaching English in China. From there I taught English in various countries to children right the way up to adult learners. Some countries I have worked in are Spain, Malaysia and Russia. While I was teaching I got my degree in Fine and Applied Arts at Canterbury Christ Church University. I have a real love for the Arts and find I am always creative no matter what role I am in.

After many years of travelling and teaching abroad, I returned to the UK to gain Qualified Teacher Status. During this period I worked with children with Special Educational Needs.
