This private course is designed to support all types of learners with the foundational skills needed for developing their reading and/or math fluency. I'm a Master Teacher with 8 years of classroom teaching and 5 years of private tutoring experience. I draw from the Orton-Gillingham methods for teaching reading and spelling to support students with dyslexia and other learning challenges. We'll get to know one another, assess the student's current level and create an individualized plan for the student during our first hour-long class. Subsequent sessions will be used to develop the targeted skills and make progress in reading and/or math fluency.

Hello there! I'm originally from Portland, Oregon, USA. My family moved to Sweden for my partner's IT job one year ago. I have two kids who love to play games and go swimming.

My passion for teaching helps me to connect with learners of all ages - even adults! I have a background in elementary education (grundskolan) but I've also taught students in grades 7 & 8. In the US, I operated my own Private Tutoring business, where I worked with students ages 6 - 16.

When you learn from me, you'll notice that I approach teaching with a warm but firm attitude. We will get along, but you will work hard to take on new challenges and make progress towards your learning goals.
