Mathematics for primary and secondary school: preparation for IB or any similar exams
From 33 C$ /h
Mathematics has a reputation for being hard. As a BSc Physics student, I could not agree more! Math is an abstract way of describing the world, which attaches a certain level of complexity to it. However, it doesn't mean that studying math should be hard and unrewarding. Sadly, many young learners miss the beautiful parts of mathematics while studying for school exams. I wish to help students understand mathematical concepts and encourage them to see interesting and important aspects of math on an entry level.
I hereby offer tutoring lessons for anyone who wishes some help with preparations for IB or any similar math exams. I will also be glad to work with anyone who simply wants to learn more about basic calculus I, algebra, linear algebra, geometry, and complex analysis.

About Me
Hi, my name is Vita and I'm a third-year student at Maastricht Science Programme. I focus on physics, but my primary interest has always been mathematics. Even though the two respective fields go hand in hand, mathematics is liberated from real-world applicability and thus offers a space for creativity and imagination.
Even though today I spend most of my time playing around with mathematics and physics, it wasn't my favorite subject at the entire stage of my education. In fact, I kept failing math exams in my first year of high school. I was studying for hours and hours and yet just couldn't understand it. For me, it was just a bunch of random numbers and symbols that were supposed to make sense together but definitely didn't at that time. That was until I first encountered Calculus I with the help of an external tutor. She showed me how these random numbers and symbols transform into visual depictions and over the years, I kept a visual approach towards maths. Up to date, its one of my favorite ways of entertaining my mind.
I would like to encourage you to see maths in its beauty instead of just another horrible thing that you need to learn for school. I'm looking forward to discuss my favourite topics with other curious minds!

Experience / Qualifications
I haven't had an official job in tutoring yet, however, I have helped high school students with studying maths before. Furthermore, I also tutored my peers and friends at the university in the field of physics.
