From 46.14 C$ /h
I specialise in tutoring English at all levels ranging up to GCSE. My goal is to ensure that students are comfortable enough to be challenged within an online setting. I assign homework after each lesson so that I can assess each student's level of understanding.

About Me
I have extensive tutoring experience, which has consisted of over two years, and roughly around 150 hours of experience. I have worked with students of varying levels, specifications, and abilities, including KS1, KS2, KS3, and KS4. I have taught different specification, including texts such as An Inspector Calls, Macbeth, Romeo and Juliet, Jane Eyre, Merchant of Venice, A Christmas Carol, and many more. In addition to this, I have experience of AQA, WJEC Eduqas and Edexcel. Due to this, I have enhanced my existing skills, such as time-management and organisational skills, as I have to be quick to learn or revise certain texts. Tutoring has allowed me to express my passion and love of the English language. I truly enjoy reading, and my passion for texts can be seen when I am teaching. I enjoy teaching; I love seeing the look of recognition on my students’ face when they understand something. For me, tutoring is one of the most rewarding things I have ever engaged in.
My teaching style varies from student to student. Each student learns differently; while there may a few similarities, it is important to alter, adapt, and shape each lesson for the student. However, in general, I have found it best to provide an overview of the topic and engage the student by asking questions and allowing them to participate in the lesson. If a student truly understands a concept, I feel it important to engage in a discussion. To me, it allows me to see whether they have similarly memorised a topic, or whether they have a firm and wide understanding of the concept.

Education
I studied English language and Linguistics, achieving first-class honours, at Queen Mary, University of London. My undergraduate degree allowed me to see the English language in a new way and provide tools, which are applied to my lessons, such as an overview of phonetics, and an overall understanding of the English language – how it evolved and the way in which it is used for specific effects. Currently, I am undertaking an MA in Digital Culture and Society at King’s College London.
