History made interesting - goodbye to boredom! ;)
From 41.66 C$ /h
History is a subject that is unfortunately often presented in schools a bit dry and boring - and history is so much more than any cards, contracts or extracts from records: it is an insight into the past and development of mankind, an answer to that Question "Why is the world the way it is today?". History is a topic that can be just as exciting and interesting as a movie! Here in the classroom there is no place for dry facts as we will dive deep into it and bring the story to life. ;)

About Me
Hello, my name is Michaela and I offer tutoring in English, history and creative writing.
I grew up trilingual and have had a great interest in English since early childhood. Over the years this interest grew and, combined with my enjoyment of reading, it eventually led to the fact that writing short stories and poetry in English became one of my passions. I have now mastered English at a native level and use it every day.
I lived in Austria, France and Bulgaria and have traveled a lot over the years. The extensive travel enabled me to get to know many people and cultures, which contributed significantly to my decision to study sociology at the University of Vienna.
It's not just people that interest me - I find history, animals (especially cats) and the beauty of nature just as fascinating. Places where nature and history can be admired at the same time are high on my list of dream travel destinations, e.g. the Pyramids of Giza, the Temple of the Sun in Peru and the Chureito Pagoda in Japan.

English is considered an international language and for those who master it it often opens doors that would otherwise be closed - something that is often answered in response to the question "Why should I learn English?" can be heard. However, that's not all, because apart from this advantage, it's also just fun to learn a new language and expand your own knowledge horizons. Learning a language doesn't just mean memorizing grammar, punctuation rules and vocabulary, but also discovering the corresponding cultures, from their history and literature to their film and music world. In other words, having fun while learning in class is not only possible, but almost guaranteed. ;)
Creative writing is rarely a subject offered in schools, but for those who have a great imagination and want to share it with others, this is the place to be! Because it requires more than just the desire to write, a laptop and knowledge of grammar and punctuation; Creating characters, creating worlds, building the story, choosing the narrative perspective and developing the writing style are also part of the process. Everything from descriptions and writing dialogue to the meaning of plot is discussed in class and who knows? Perhaps at the end of our lessons, students can expect a work that is just steps away from publication. ;)
