Exam help for Key stages 2, 3 & 4 in Geography and Biology
From 46.14 C$ /h
I will provide support for students wishing to achieve higher grades in their geography and science (in particular biology) at GCSE. As well as this I will offer support with science for Key stage 2 children preparing for their SATs and ensuring a smooth transition into high school science. I achieved As in both biology and geography GCSEs and went on to study forensic sciences at college and environmental sciences at university. My sessions will support children of a lower ability using scaffolding and supportive worksheets and activities to ensure progression. In terms of higher ability children I will provide challenging activities to strengthen their subject knowledge. I will be able to complete past papers with students as well which I feel is imperative to achieving good grades as they become used to what an exam paper will look like. I will use questions from these papers and work through them with the children step by step, ensuring the children know what the question is asking them and what subject knowledge they might need. Completing exam questions step by step and writing ideas down as a ‘brain dump’ can aid memory. Understanding different learning styles is vital for progression and I understand that children all learn in different ways. I have explained a few ways in which I would support the children however I am aware and able to adapt and change my methods to suit the needs of each individual child.
