I have prior experience in tutoring GCSE pupils but have similarly taught adults French and English in the past.
I primarily help to fill any gaps in the pupil's knowledge but also aim to challenge and motivate them by introducing them to new concepts to help them improve and build on their existing knowledge.
My lessons are casual but do follow a structure. I can build a lesson to fit whatever your needs are, but will aim to include some speaking, listening, grammar and writing into each lesson, without going overboard! :)

Hello all!
I am a native French speaker, aspiring to become a French teacher,. I hope to start my teacher training course in September 2020.
I have taught French and English abroad in Spain to children and adults and really enjoyed meeting new people and learning different teaching techniques.
Additionally, I have tutored pupils of all ages in French, using games and conversational activities to keep things as fun as possible!
Although I aim to help students improve their French with every lesson, my primary hope is to inspire and motivate people to learn languages. Any additional language is a gift to anyone which will help you in any future job and with any future travel plans.

Education

I recently graduated from the University of Bath with a BA (Hons) in Spanish and beginners Italian. Prior to this, I studied French, Spanish and Russian at A level, obtaining A,B,A respectively as my results.
Having grown up in a multi lingual environment, I have always had a keen interest in languages and different cultures.
I am hoping to share my love for languages with others and help someone learn something new with each lesson.

Experience / Qualifications

In 2017, I spent 5 months teaching English and French in Espareguerra, Spain. I planned lessons from scratch using my own materials and made frequent progress reports. Additionally, I had to write and mark my pupils' exam papers. I really enjoyed this experience and was sad to leave my pupils.
As mentioned elsewhere in my profile, I have also tutored various pupils in Bristol and Bath in the last year. I tailored the lessons accordingly to help each pupil with their areas of interest.

There are two types of approaches to acquiring knowledge:

My methodology: Learning to structure one's thoughts to express oneself better
My approach is based on a simple observation: success is not achieved through lack of effort, but often through a lack of method and confidence. My role is to transform subjects sometimes perceived as abstract (Philosophy, French) or intimidating (English) into concrete tools for success.
