My name is Dolly and I'm here to help you improve your pronunciation, expression and to become a more confident English speaker.

My specialization is ineffective communication. I guide and support learners to reach fluency, speaking clearly and naturally using real-life situations through individually designed courses to get them where they want to be.

At the beginning of each course, I will complete a needs analysis report with my student. I ask them why they want or need to learn the English Language. Is it for social or business reasons? If it is for business reasons, are there particular areas they need to focus on such as the language of meetings, negotiations, emails, telephone or networking?

Once the needs are identified, I will customize the course and include plenty of variety in the lessons, eg, fluency, vocabulary, listening, reading and role-plays. I believe in engaging with my students and they are always encouraged to express their opinions as this is how one progresses with a language.

Hello! My name is Dolly and I am a graduate English language trainer. I work in an international and multi-cultural environment helping busy, motivated English learners become more confident, bolder and braver English speakers. I was born in Malaysia but have worked, lived and travelled to many different countries around the world. English is my first language and I am a native speaker with a neutral accent. I am fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and Cantonese, with a little knowledge of Mandarin.

My accent is entirely native and neutral. Living and working in Asia I understand about the struggles people go through when learning English, and I am familiar with the common pitfalls. Although I am patient and understanding I am serious with my students when it comes to pronunciation errors. This is something I pay close attention to in every lesson. You will receive custom corrections and advice on how to improve.

You can have tutors who have conversational classes with you, but unless you get feedback from a native speaker who is trained to do grammar corrections properly, you will always stay at the same level and never progress. If I work with you, you will get grammar/vocabulary “homework” and constructive feedback.
