In this course, the student will learn how to follow the scientific process and the engineering process (starting in G1). There will be chapters that discuss technology, plants, animals, environments, weather, space, matter, and energy. Reading, comprehension, vocabulary, and practical application are all aspects of the course. There are between 10 and 15 units depending on the grade level with 2 to 5 lessons in each unit. GK-G2 are generally taught in 30 minute lessons and G3-G6 in 45-60 minute lessons.

I am a native English speaker and a teacher of English as a second language (ESL) with a Bachelor of Fundamentals and Methodology of Education and an Associate of Applied Science in Information Technology. I have been teaching both in elementary schools in Texas, USA and privately (in home and by computer) for over 30 years. I was born in Texas and spent all but the last 5 years living there. Need help with math and science (physics, chemistry, etc.)? As a 33-year-old civil engineer, I'm happy to help! I'll learn at your own pace, using plenty of examples to illustrate the material. I have years of experience teaching both simple and complex subjects.

The lessons run as follows. First of all, together we look for the student's biggest stumbling blocks. These can be related to the subject matter as well as to the study method. From there, I continue to work at the pace of the student and encourage them to ask as many questions as possible. I also give them tips and tricks, and improve their working methods where necessary. During the lesson I give many examples to make the subject matter more interesting and we solve exercises together. Once the student has mastered the exercises from the lesson, I give some more challenging exercises to also test on the deeper understanding of the subject matter. In this way I try to optimally prepare the student for his / her test or exam.

However, learning should also be enjoyable. That is why I always strive for a good relationship with the student through a spontaneous and positive approach. I am also very patient. All this lowers the barrier to ask questions and improves the student's learning process.

Hi, my name is Federica and I am an astrophysicist. I obtained my PhD from ETH Zürich and, for over ten years, I have been working in international research teams, contributing to space missions such as ESA Euclid and NASA Roman, and collaborating with scientists from all over the world.

I teach Chemistry in a smooth and simple way that helps the student understand the information instead of just memorizing it, with attention to simplifying concepts and rules and linking them to examples and practical applications.

I explain chemistry in Arabic and English according to the student’s level and needs, clarifying scientific terms in both languages, so that the student can understand the lesson in the language he is comfortable with, and at the same time get used to the terms and questions in English, especially in schools and subjects that rely on the English curriculum.

During the explanation, I make sure that the information is arranged step by step, starting with understanding the basic idea, then explaining the rule or law, and then applying it to different examples, while gradually solving exercises and questions from the simple level to the higher levels.

I don't rely solely on memorization, but I focus on the student understanding Why? and How? Why do chemical reactions occur? How do we use the laws? How do we know the appropriate way to solve the question? And how do we arrive at the answer in an organized manner?

I also focus on clarifying points that usually cause confusion for students, such as the difference between similar terms, understanding chemical equations, balancing equations, chemical calculations, and understanding the steps of problems instead of memorizing the solution method.
