As a teaching professional, I have always enjoyed sharing my knowledge. My goal is to provide quality education. I am aware that some topics may seem complex, but often this is simply the result of an inadequate explanation by the teacher. With me, you will discover a real interest in the material!

We strive together to achieve academic excellence, overcoming the shortcomings and difficulties encountered by your child. Studies will become a pleasant experience for him. In addition to the courses, I can also help with school orientation, identifying their preferences and highlighting the advantages and benefits of a fulfilling educational ambition.

The sessions generally take place according to the following stages:

1️⃣ The first sessions are devoted to the assessment of the student's level in order to detect existing gaps.

2️⃣ Next, we create a personalized plan to address these gaps, including the number of hours of work needed, specific areas to focus on, and appropriate training and development exercises.

3️⃣ We stay in constant contact with the student's class teacher, to keep up to date with the latest requirements and ensure a consistent approach.

4️⃣ Subsequently, I provide exams similar to those that are likely to be asked in class, to prepare the student effectively.

5️⃣ Upon request, I write a regular report, usually monthly, to keep parents informed of their child's progress throughout their course.

I adapt my methodology according to the specific needs of each student, thus offering them a personalized and adapted work approach.

In addition, I offer crash courses for students preparing for the start of the school year, allowing them to start the year well prepared, with a solid lead on the school curriculum.

If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact me. I will be happy to help you.

I am Mavi, a physics engineer working at an aerospace company.
I have been teaching private lessons at the primary, secondary, high school, and university preparatory levels for 11 years. I teach mathematics, physics, chemistry, and science. I have a good command of the curricula of IB, IGCSE, American, Hong Kong, and international schools.

Additionally, I hold the position of president at the Astronomy Society, where I foster my students' interest in astronomy and science beyond the lessons. I prepare the learning environment by incorporating experiments and exploration, moving away from rote education. I often bring experimental materials to class, aiming to make learning memorable through hands-on experiments.

As an educational mentor, I approach my students as if they were my siblings, valuing creativity. I have a deep passion for mathematics, physics, and science. I am dedicated to helping students understand and learn because life encompasses both SCIENCE and ART. The more people I can inspire to know, understand, and love mathematics, physics, and chemistry, the more proud I am.

I work with two kinds of students: those preparing to meet university math admission requirements (OMPT, CCVX, VWO), and those already enrolled who need solid support in calculus, linear algebra, differential equations, probability & statistics, or discrete math including students at TUM, ETH Zurich, TU Delft, KTH, EPFL, and RWTH Aachen.
Lessons are in English; I can explain in German where it helps.

Are you drowning in countless formulas? Is your head starting to explode with equations and graphs? Don't panic! Math doesn't have to be a stumbling block. With the right explanation and a calm approach, it often becomes much clearer. Together, we'll tackle it step by step, at your pace.

For whom?
- Students from primary and secondary education
- Children and young people preparing for exams or tests
- Anyone who wants to give mathematics a second chance, including adults

What can you expect?
- I explain the often complicated mathematical language in clear, human language
- Focus on insight, not just learning tricks and formulas by heart
- Exercises that we tackle together
- Space for questions, repetition and building self-confidence
I can also prepare exercises and even complete practice exams myself.

About me
I'm currently pursuing my Master's degree in Data Science/Analytics at the University of Antwerp. In high school, I had seven hours of math a week and always passed my exams with high marks. I've been happily tutoring students of various levels for several years now. I'm analytical, but also calm, patient, and good at sensing exactly where things are going wrong.

Practical:
- 1-on-1 lessons, online, at my place or at yours (if you don't live too far away)
- We will go through your material together or I will provide my own material
- Your own pace and approach, completely tailored to you

I have already successfully guided students with:
- Mathematics in secondary education: from the 1st to the 6th year, for various fields of study and schools, including Latin at Sint-Michielscollege Brasschaat, Economics-Mathematics at KA Schoten, and Humanities at Annuntia.
- Arithmetic in primary education: pupils in the 4th, 5th, and 6th grades, including mental arithmetic, written calculation, and other arithmetic skills.
- Mathematics in the Electromechanics program at AP University of Applied Sciences.

Feel free to send me a message with your questions or concerns, and we'll discuss how I can best support you.

I teach one-to-one Maths and Physics to GCSE, A-Level and university students, online and in person around Birmingham.

I hold an MSc in Electronics and Electrical Engineering with Distinction from the University of Chester, where I now teach and assess postgraduate students as a visiting lecturer. Alongside that I've been tutoring privately for several years, across GCSE, A-Level and first-year university modules. I've published two international conference papers, so the maths I teach isn't something I learned once and repeat from a textbook. I use it.

What I cover:

GCSE Maths and Physics, all exam boards including AQA, Edexcel, OCR and Eduqas
A-Level Maths, Further Maths and Physics
University Maths and engineering modules for science and engineering students
Individual topics including algebra, trigonometry, calculus, statistics, mechanics and logic

How I teach:

Every student starts in a different place, so the first thing I do is find out what they actually understand rather than what the syllabus assumes they should. From there I break difficult ideas into small steps, work through plenty of examples, and set focused practice between sessions.

I care more about a student knowing why a method works than memorising the steps, because understanding is what survives exam pressure when a question is worded unfamiliarly. Lessons are structured but relaxed. Students should feel comfortable asking the questions they think are silly, because those are usually the ones that matter most.

I'm patient with mistakes and honest about what still needs work. If a student isn't ready for a topic, I'll say so and we'll go back a step rather than pretend otherwise.

Term has just started, which is the best point in the year to build a routine before mocks in November and December. If your child is beginning Year 11 or Year 13, or retaking GCSE Maths this November, putting support in place now makes a real difference by the time the real papers arrive.

Videoconference courses for Second, First and Final year of the French program, specializing in mathematics and expert mathematics.

The first year of high school is crucial. It's when students and their families decide whether to continue or drop their chosen specialization, and this decision will shape their entire post-secondary path: access to engineering schools, preparatory classes, and scientific and economic fields of study. A negative first year can close doors that are difficult to reopen.

Master's degree in Operations Research (applied mathematics), more than five years of private tutoring for students in the AEFE network and the Mission laïque.

Covered program

Second year — functions, vectors, statistics and probabilities, algorithms
First specialty — sequences, differentiation, quadratic polynomials, dot product, conditional probabilities
Final year specialization — limits, continuity, logarithms and exponentials, integration, counting, binomial law, geometry in space
Advanced mathematics — complex numbers, arithmetic, matrices and graphs
Preparing for the Baccalaureate exam: sample questions, time management, writing

Method

I begin by identifying where the student is actually losing points: understanding the material, choosing the right method, or writing style. These are three different problems that require three different approaches. We then work on past exam papers and sample questions, under exam conditions.

I also support students enrolled in CNED and those preparing for their post-baccalaureate orientation.

Courses in French and English.
