By PROFESSOR & PROFESSIONAL COACH

Hello,

First and foremost, I would like to wish you a warm welcome back to school and a peaceful year ahead as you work towards your goals. I am aware that the economic situation can sometimes be challenging, which is why I offer my services to accompany your child throughout their academic journey with ease and serenity.

Throughout my career as a Graduate Teacher and Graduate Professional Coach, I have worked in various contexts. Until last year, I taught in front of whole classes as well as in private lessons. Since this year, I have been providing face-to-face private lessons at home and also via video conferencing, a mode of teaching that I have practiced with university students for the past ten years.

My teaching environment has undergone significant changes, especially with the emergence of the Covid pandemic. This shift has led our secondary school students to adapt to the new mode of learning and communication, namely video conferencing. Despite the success of this transition, it is important to acknowledge that our younger students still require attention and a psycho-emotional connection in order to develop their autonomy peacefully.

Over the past two decades, I have implemented proven methodological approaches, some of which are borrowed from theater techniques, such as the Davis method (mind mappings/colors), and my specialty, professional coaching, which aims to enhance your child's motivation. My main goal is to foster agility in your child across all subjects, not only for the present but also for their future when I will no longer be by their side.

Ultimately, my objective goes beyond simply focusing on gaining points in a subject. I firmly believe in this approach due to my experience as a Mental Coach working with young athletes between Nice and Cannes, as well as throughout Europe via video conferencing, as part of their preparation for the French Tennis Championships. It has reinforced my conviction that working on a subject should be a nurtured objective that encompasses personal growth and development.

As a Professor in General Education, specializing mainly in scientific subjects, I suggest supporting your child in gaining agility in constructing their academic path during this unique period that is filled with both opportunities and challenges.

Looking forward to meeting you soon,
Corinne.

As a dedicated tutor with extensive experience in preparing students for standardized exams such as the SAT, GMAT, and SSAT, I understand the unique challenges that each of these tests presents. My approach is comprehensive and focuses on building a strong foundation in critical areas such as Mathematics, Quantitative Reasoning, Verbal Skills, and Analytical Writing. Each program I develop is tailored to the specific requirements of the exam, ensuring that students are well-prepared and confident on test day.

Having a deep understanding of the test formats and question types allows me to provide personalized strategies that target each student's individual strengths and weaknesses. I believe that every student has a unique learning style, and my goal is to enhance their test-taking skills while improving their time management. By fostering a supportive learning environment, I aim to boost students' confidence and empower them to achieve top scores.

My tutoring sessions incorporate a variety of effective methods, including real exam questions and timed practice tests. This hands-on approach allows students to familiarize themselves with the types of questions they will encounter, making the actual exam feel less daunting. I teach proven techniques for tackling even the most challenging problems, ensuring that students feel equipped to handle any question that comes their way.

One of the key components of my tutoring is helping students develop effective study habits. I provide guidance on creating a structured study plan that maximizes their preparation time and aligns with their personal goals. This structured approach not only keeps students on track but also helps them build a sense of accountability, which is crucial for success.

In addition to academic preparation, I also focus on the psychological aspects of test-taking. Many students experience anxiety leading up to exams, which can affect their performance. I teach relaxation techniques and mental strategies to help manage stress, allowing students to approach their exams with a calm and focused mindset. By addressing both the academic and emotional challenges of test preparation, I equip students with a well-rounded toolkit for success.

Feedback is an essential part of the learning process, and I make it a priority to provide constructive and actionable insights during our sessions. After each practice test, I conduct a thorough review of the results, highlighting areas for improvement while also acknowledging progress. This continuous feedback loop helps students understand their growth and keeps them motivated throughout their preparation.

My commitment to student success goes beyond just teaching content. I aim to inspire a love for learning and self-improvement in each of my students. Many of my former students have gone on to achieve their academic goals, securing places at prestigious universities and programs. Their success stories are a testament to the effectiveness of my tailored approach and the dedication I bring to each tutoring session.

If you're looking to master the SAT, GMAT, or SSAT with confidence, I invite you to book a session now. Together, we will develop a customized learning plan that suits your individual needs, ensuring that you are not only prepared to face the test but also equipped to excel and reach your highest potential. With my guidance and your commitment, we can achieve outstanding results. Let’s embark on this journey to success together!

I am a Physics graduate from Universität Leipzig, currently pursuing my MSc in Physics. I grew up speaking English as my first language and have been teaching Physics and Maths for over five years to students at GCSE and A-Level. I enjoy breaking down complex topics into simple, logical steps and find it genuinely satisfying when a student finally understands something they have been struggling with. Outside of academics I am a sports coach, so I am used to adapting my approach to different people and skill levels.

I graduated with a perfect 45/45 in the IB Diploma and achieved 7/7 in both Biology HL and Chemistry HL. I also have over 3 years of teaching experience.
In this class, I’ll share the strategies, techniques, and exam approaches that helped me achieve those results.
This class is focused on more than simply reviewing the syllabus. We will focus on how to approach IB science questions, apply your knowledge effectively, maximize marks, and consistently perform at a 6–7 level.

What we will focus on:
- How to approach difficult IB-style questions
- Strategies for moving from a 5 to a 6 or from a 6 to a 7
- How to understand command terms and what questions are really asking
- How to structure answers to maximize marks
- Data analysis, graphs, calculations, and experimental questions
- Common mistakes that cost students marks
- Time management and exam strategy
- Challenging 6–7 level Biology HL and Chemistry HL questions

We will work through challenging IB-style Biology and Chemistry questions step by step, focusing not only on what the correct answer is, but why the markscheme awards marks for it and how to recognize similar questions in an exam.
Whether you are currently working toward a 6, trying to push from a 6 to a 7, or simply want to become significantly stronger in IB Biology HL or Chemistry HL, this class will give you a clear and practical strategy for maximizing your exam performance.

Hi, my name is Federica and I am an astrophysicist. I obtained my PhD from ETH Zürich and, for over ten years, I have been working in international research teams, contributing to space missions such as ESA Euclid and NASA Roman, and collaborating with scientists from all over the world.

For more than ten years, I have also been active in teaching, tutoring and science communication. In my teaching approach, I consider it essential to listen to the student, understand their needs, and identify the way they reason and learn best. This is key to creating a truly personalised learning path that motivates them to engage with the subject and gradually take on more advanced learning challenges.

I helped several students to strengthen the foundations, identify strategic points early, and progressively work towards more advanced problem-solving and exam preparation.

I do not believe in a standard “one-to-many” lesson, but rather in a learning path designed to genuinely consolidate the student’s knowledge, help them become progressively more independent, and make them aware of the practical and interdisciplinary applications that a particular subject can have in their academic journey.

I am fluent in Italian and English, and I am currently strengthening my knowledge of French. Thank you for your attention.
