AQA and Edexcel Biology tutoring (for both Combined science and triple science) for GCSE students.

Lessons will include covering various topics in the specification, including exam style questions. Content covered in each lesson will be tailored to the student’s areas of improvement and content will continually be adjusted to maximise their learning.

Baseline as well as regular mini assessments will be administered to monitor the student’s progress.

There will be homework after every lesson to help consolidate knowledge but also to prepare for the next lesson.

I am a friendly individual who highly values learning and education, and I greatly enjoy helping my students to make improvements in their studies and feel proud of themselves.

Biology and English are my main tutoring subjects - I am very interested in both of them.

In terms of my lessons, I would describe them as structured, interactive and easy-going.

Structure is created from activities, main tasks and going over homework. Interactivity is demonstrated by teacher-student conversations about the topic being tutored in a given lesson, and by asking students questions and prompting them if they need help. My lessons are easy going, in that despite a professional relationship between my student and I, the atmosphere within lessons is not tense or rigid in any way; there is two way respect and friendliness.

Need help with geography, biology, or chemistry? As a 33-year-old civil engineer, I'm happy to help! I'll learn at your own pace, using plenty of examples to illustrate the material. I have years of experience teaching both simple and complex subjects.

The lessons run as follows. First, we look together for the student's biggest stumbling blocks. These can be related to the subject matter as well as to the study method. From there, I work at the pace of the student and encourage them to ask as many questions as possible. I also give tips and tricks, and improve their working methods where necessary. During the lesson I give many examples to make the subject matter more interesting and we solve exercises together. Once practiced from the lesson, I mastered challenging exercises to also test the deeper understanding of the subject matter.
