I am an Italian soprano, graduated from the Dutch National Opera Academy. I work as a soloist as a freelance singer, and I teach singing to students of different levels and ages for many years. The most important thing during my lessons is to help the student find a healthy and comfortable way of singing! During the first part of the lesson, we will focus on Technique and breathing, while during the second part of the lesson we will focus on the repertoire chosen together with the student, applying the aspect of the technique that we worked on previously in the lesson.

We will cover playing for all levels, correct left-hand use, synchronizing with the right hand, handling the pick, tuning the Oud, and effectively using a tuner and metronome. In the remaining time, we will dive into reading musical notes, starting with basic Solfege and progressing to advanced and oriental Solfege, including dictation exercises. This comprehensive approach ensures a well-rounded musical journey My recommendation for learning the Oud is to begin by studying musical notes and notation before delving into songs. While some students prefer to jump straight into playing songs, understanding the fundamentals of music notation accelerates progress in the long run. My class consists of planning and organizing the study of guitar technique in order to guide the study of a classical or modern repertoire. Hello, I’m Elena, I’m Italian and I’m an opera singer :) I’ve been training children and teens for 10 years, especially helping them with auditions and tests. I’ve been singing in theaters almost all my life since I started when I was just 8; nowadays I work as a professional mezzo-soprano all around the world both in educational projects for kids and children and in big productions.
