About Me

For me, dancing and sport are a way to express myself and release all the stress I get during my busy day. This kind of dance is the perfect choice for those who love Cuban and Latin music. During the pandemic, this two were the only things keeping me motivated and strong. For one year I was tutoring in a dancing club and the best thing is seeing those people laugh and having a good time and at the same time giving the best they have to achieve the choreo , it's a great feeling!!! My fitness journey started when I was 15 and I made great progress with my body during those years but most important with my health! These workshops aim to learn or simply practice steps, in a relaxed atmosphere and in a safe space. Relaxation is promoted with guided breathing exercises.

Concept art:

The cumbia-relajación workshop is a concept that pays homage to ancestral rhythms linked to the Earth and to heartbeats. One of these rhythms is the "tresillo", which is found in several popular dances in Abya Yala / Anahuac / Tawantinsuyo such as cumbia, bachata,bullengue, reggaeton*, etc. This rhythm is also present in millennial cultures around the world.

The steps have similarities to movements in Tai-chi or Qi-gong, and have the potential to bring health benefits. It is an approach that has the potential to connect the moving body with the mind.

Socially, a circle dance can help release any inhibitions. The workshop aims to encourage safe spaces where we can dance alone, or in groups.

Dancing has always been part of my life. During my childhood, I took classical and jazz lessons. Later, I joined a group of Funk (Hip Hop/RnB) with which I presented several choreographies and shows.

In 2010, I discovered zumba and salsa. Since then, I have a passion for salsa and Cuban music. Since 2017, I have been part of a dance school where I pass on my passion to a group of people of all ages, dancers or not at heart.
