Hi I’m Ruth. Thanks for stopping by to find out a little more about me. I trained in classical and opera singing at The Royal Northern College of Music, and for the past 7 years have had a career in operetta and musical theatre. Including lead roles in The Mikado, Pilates of Penzance, Iolanthe and HMS Pinafore with the International Gilbert and Sullivan Opera Company, The Merry Widow, Babes in Arms, Out Of Of This World, Free As Air, Cinderella and Peter Pan to name a few.

Alongside my career I’ve taught singing and acting with RNCM Youth Perform, Enfield Music Service, Bolton Music Service, Artis, Stage Coach and privately at many schools, colleges, and performing schools across the country. Helping students achieve their personal goals as well as desired results in ABRSM, Trinity, LAMDA, GCSE and A Level exams.

I specialise in developing vocal and performance technique especially in the genres of musical theatre and classical singing but love teaching all music genres. The most important thing is finding music you love to sing.

I also offer advise on the realities of being a working actor, what to expect from an audition and how to prepare for it, building an audition repertoire and acting though song coaching.

I’m here to help anyone from a newbie who wants to build some insight and confidence, to professionals who want to hone their skills.

About the classes:
Created for complete beginners and those with some experience of Piano and Singing technique, this classes serve as an ideal starting point to develop piano and singing technique, to work on improvisation skills and sight-reading, to learn in depth music theory and chords and also to explore various music genres, to build up personal portfolio, self-confidence and stage presence.

Special programme for younger beginners “Music Wonderland” has been specifically designed for children as young as 3.5 up to 7 years old.

In addition I offer classes on music yoga and therapy which bring harmony, balance and open creative powers of an artist.

Classes take place individually and in a group.

In each on line hour, through a follow of vocal, drama and art craft games, your kid will learn the basic both of singing and, at the same time, of Italian language, through a range of simple and catchy songs, easy to learn and remember. We will warm up with body and breath games, taken from Yoga, Commedia dell'Arte, Bollywood Dance; we will memorise the lyrics using mime and live interactive drawing; we will learn the melodies with the help of my guitar and my keyboard. Finally we will find the best way to perform the song to mum and dad. I will give your child 1 hour of pure educational fun!!!

With a sound vocal technique, our singers are encouraged to try as many styles of singing as possible. We have jazz, folk, classical, contemporary, and musical workshops for our students.
