I am a professional Belgian-Armenian musician with a Master's degree awarded by LUCA School of Arts and Science in Belgium. I am a classically trained soprano and pianist with a love for theater and the arts! In addition to being a performer, I also love teaching music lessons. I have fifteen years of teaching experience in voice, piano and solfège lessons.
My private music studio includes a range of levels and ages who vary in musical aspirations, play the piano and sing in many different styles, including opera, oratorium, art song, folk song and musical theater. My students have gone on to sing on Broadway, pursue music and theater degrees, compete and win competitions. I have extensive training and knowledge of the proper use of piano and voice as well as a passion for teaching my students self-expression through music. My students are given every opportunity to become well-rounded, performing musicians, and my goal is to give students the tools to become life long, passionate musicians themselves!
VOICE FOR SINGERS: You'll learn sequential detailed exercises that free and strengthen your voice. You'll understand how your instrument works, what parts of your voice are blocked and what to do about that. You'll be able to combine your emotional life with your voice without tension and blockages. You'll learn how to approach and perform songs in preparation for audition and performance. And, you'll experience the JOY of using your voice.
You will learn how to utilize your breath, proper placement and build vocal power. You'll master specific exercises that unlock tension blocks in each part of your musculature as you developing expressiveness, resonance and enjoy the individuality of your free voice. If you practice you'll feel the result after a few weeks!
SOLFÈGE
Understanding music theory and sight-reading will help you get the most out of your music instrument. After 3 - 6 months you should have a good command of reading music notation and an understanding of how to play your music instrument with an expressive tone. For the advanced student, I can help you work on trouble spots and give you tools to help with the changes that instrument naturally go through. I look forward to giving you my full focus and celebrating your growth and accomplishments

My method is fun and lays down the foundation for a relaxed way of playing, which gives confidence and technical security while enabling one to produce a beautiful "singing" tone on the piano. This helps students of all ages to take their piano-playing to new heights.
