Graduate of Köln Hochschule für Musik und Tanz, I am a classical opera singer with 7 years of experience on stage. I offer private lessons both for students learning to sing classic arias as well as pop songs. Lessons are tailored to the wishes and tastes of a specific student.

Extra information

While being an opera singer (with lyric coloratura soprano), I do not limit myself to only classic arias but cover various music genres from pop to folk songs.

Together we will work on your voice by selecting suitable repertoire of songs or arias, but first we will learn fundamentals to make sure that voice is being used without strain and tension. Depending on student preferences, we can learn how to read classic music sheets, play piano and practice Italian opera terms. Classic singing requires a lot of self-discipline and I will share the methods that I use for myself.

My teaching methods are based on best practice approaches of top opera teachers. I have strong knowledge of the bel canto technique, learned during my studies as well as in master classes and now I teach it to my own students. We will learn arias and songs of different level of difficulty and I will give you tips on how to practice singing on a daily basis. I will accompany you on piano during the lessons.

My name is Denise and I'm a professional singer with a singing master's degree from Catalonia's Music College (ESMUC) specialized in Historical Singing, Musicology and Music Education.
My experience runs mostly in early and chamber music, nevertheless I also have the experience and knowledge of popular musical styles such as Latin-American folk, jazz and musicals.
