About Me

I've been playing piano since I was 8. At 18, I taught at a music school for two years, then I also gave lessons at students' homes. I have experience teaching music theory and piano lessons. I first studied classical piano and then jazz/pop piano.

Education

I studied Secondary Arts Education (KSO), where I received a broad artistic education with a strong focus on music. During this program, I developed my musical skills, with a particular focus on piano, music theory, music theory, and ensemble playing. I also learned to work creatively and with discipline, and gained insight into artistic expression and stage experience.

Experience / Qualifications

I have two years of experience teaching piano to students of various levels. After this period, I further expanded my experience by offering private lessons at home. During these lessons, I worked on technique, music theory, note reading, and musicality, and I adapted my lessons to the level, pace, and learning goals of each student.

Cello Lessons for all levels:
My main goal with my teaching is to share my passion for music with my students. I believe strongly that this passion leads to discipline and curiosity which benefit all other aspects of one's life. Whether or not my students decide to pursue music as their main profession, I believe they have much to gain from learning the cello. Conservatory Preparation:
In my experience as a musician living and working in Belgium for the past 9 years, I have noticed a gap in the musical education of young Belgian music students transitioning from Music academies into Conservatories. Oftentimes, these young music students seeking to enter conservatories do not possess the necessary skill level to enter higher education in Music. Through my private teaching, I intend to bridge this gap by catering specifically (though not exclusively) to these students. I strongly believe that there is a huge demand for this type of teaching which I am capable of providing.

I am a graduate of the Antwerp Conservatory of Music and have been playing the cello for 20 years. Despite my young age, since 2012, after winning many auditions, I have played in orchestral projects in 18 European countries. I regularly participated in music courses and workshops.
