Sara’s teaching is primarily based on the Estill Model (Level 1 & 2 training by Stephanie Marko & Charlotte Xerri). This model focuses on different structures of the voice in isolation, before combining and manipulating them to form a desired voice quality. Lessons delve into effective techniques used by pop, musical theatre, jazz, classical and opera singers, such as: ‘speech’, ‘twang’, ‘belt’ and ‘sob’.

Whether you are interested in developing a more versatile singing voice... or you are seeking a healthier, safer way to achieve powerful and high-intensity singing... Sara will work with you to discover your voice’s full potential!

Let's have a modern fun approach to singing/songwriting/piano! Hi, I'm Elena, and am a Pop Singer/Songwriter and have written for many other artists with songs that landed on the Billboard Dance Club Charts.

I'm a graduate of Berklee College of Music where I studied piano performance, songwriting, and music business. I love helping people find their creativity, teaching in a way that is FUN and applies to the student's goals, and also showing people how to practice efficiently!

My lessons can include:
-Singing (beginners, intermediate, singing to learn your own songs, singing to find your own voice)
- Songwriting (learning to write your own radio hit or alternative songs, maybe you've always had lyrics or melodies but want to know how to progress them? Or for intermediate songwriters, let's edit and strengthen your current songs and take them to the next level)
- Piano (Classical/Pop) - All levels, perhaps you want to efficiently train for an exam, or learn basic chords for your songs, start from scratch, or master your favorite classical or pop piece of music!
- Music technology, Basic Production, music industry mentorship, and theory classes!

Whether you're preparing for an exam or wanting to learn, improve, and discover music, we can tailor classes exactly to your interests and needs.

I teach theory for all grades, specialising in ABRSM theory.
I have access to many past papers. I have also created exercises to help my students. When a students stuggle with an exercise, I create exercises to help master it. Theory should be easy! I aim to have students take Grade 5 theory in 2 terms.

About Me
I am a friendly teacher, who will help you achieve your desired goal for music theory.
I have been teaching live for 15 years, and online for 8 years. As long as your internet connection is good, skype can be almost as good as being in the same room.

I have studied with many of the leading teachers in Europe and the USA. I started my education at Junior Department of the Royal Academy of Music (London), where I studied with James Sleigh for five years. I was a member of the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain, and the National Youth Strings Academy. I the studied my Bachelor of Music at the Royal College of Music (London), where I studied with Andriy Viytovych. I have a Masters of Music from Trinity Laban College of Music and Dance (London), studying under Roger Chase, and a Masters in Fine Art from Gothenburg University (Sweden) with Øvyor Volle (Vertavo Quartet). I also studied in the USA at the Manhattan School of Music, New York, and Chicago College of Performing Arts.

I work as a professional viola player across the UK and Scandinavia, with such orchestras as Swedish Radio Orchestra, Stockholm Philharmonic, Bergen, Norwegian Radio, Gothenburg Symphony, Norrkoping Symphony, Jonkoping Sinfonietta, Aarhus Symphony, and English National Ballet Philharmonic. I am also a music arranger and transcriber.

I can give lessons once or twice a week. Please note that twice a week does allow for fast progression.

Although I live in Sweden, I only teach in English.

My lessons are designed to be dynamic, supportive, and confidence-building, creating a safe space where students can explore and enjoy singing without fear or pressure. I strongly believe that learning music should feel exciting, empowering, and personal. Whether you are a complete beginner or someone with previous experience, my goal is to help you feel comfortable using your voice and expressing yourself freely while developing healthy vocal habits.

Classes combine vocal technique, breathing exercises, interpretation, musicality, acting tools, diction, and fun performance-based activities adapted to each student’s level, musical taste, and goals. As a bilingual actor and singer with professional experience in musical theatre, live performance, television, and music projects in Mexico, the United States, and Spain, I also help students connect emotionally with songs, improve stage presence, and build confidence while performing in front of others.

My vocal background includes training in musical theatre, jazz singing, gospel music, choral singing, contemporary music, and vocal coaching. Thanks to this variety of styles and techniques, lessons can be adapted for students interested in musical theatre, pop, contemporary music, jazz, or simply discovering and improving their natural voice.

One of my biggest priorities is vocal health. Students will learn how their vocal instrument truly works, how to use it correctly, and how to sing safely without hurting themselves. Understanding your voice is just as important as developing it, and I make sure every exercise is done in a healthy and sustainable way.

I believe every voice has potential, and every student deserves encouragement, patience, and a positive environment throughout their artistic journey. As Gusteau says in Ratatouille: “Everyone can sing.”
