In this class, we will go deep in sound technologies to explore and learn the principles of sound, audio manipulation, editing, mixing and studio composing (being able to compose music on computer) via using Logic Pro X. If asked, I can also share information about room acoustics, recording techniques, digital tips and tricks about VSTs and MIDIs.

I have 5 years of recording assistance experience in a recording studio, 8 years of music production experience and I am Amsterdam Conservatory, Film Composing Master’s Degree Graduated and have 1 Turkish feature film, 5 dutch short films (4 documentary, one fiction film).

For example, for beginners: Technique of the plectrum or fingers, coordination and correction of the right and left hand. Learning basic chords, simple themes, simple rhythms, reading tablatures (...).

For intermediaries: development of rhythm, construction of chords, writing of tablatures, basic notions of harmony (...).

Depending on your goals, you can learn, if you wish, to play 60 to 80% of current music from the first lessons, which often use the same chords and the same techniques. The objectives take into consideration the following points:

The course also includes analysis and deconstruction of existing film scores to understand compositional techniques and storytelling strategies.
