About Me

Hey! I’m Greg, a professional musician and teacher from New Zealand, now based in Berlin. I teach guitar and music production in English, to beginners and returning musicians, at your home or online.

Guitar lessons
I teach with the music you actually love, so you learn the core skills and concepts through songs you want to play. Whether you’re a complete beginner or coming back after years away, I’ll help you improve and feel confident playing. Depending on your goals, we can also get into deeper skills like songwriting, alternate tunings, effects or playing alongside other musicians.

Music production
Interested in learning to record your own music? It’s more accessible than you might think! I’ll take you from wherever you’re at (total beginner or some experience) to finishing, mixing and releasing your tracks. I’ve taught regular production courses in Berlin and worked with 800+ students, and my aim is to make recording and producing feel approachable for anyone. Many of my students start with guitar and move on to learning to record and produce music.

Book a session and we’ll work out how to help you achieve your musical goals :)

The guitar is undoubtedly one of the most popular instruments of the modern age. It is so versatile and used in many genres ranging from classical music to Death Metal and even Electronic Music.

I will teach you the basics of playing the guitar, and I'll spice it up later with my experience in composition and songwriting. We will learn by example through the famous songs that shaped our understanding of the guitar. Whether you prefer singer-songwriter-style songs, or thrash metal we'll get there together.

I will teach mainly using the guitar tablature format, we can do sheet music which is generally unneeded for anything besides classical, but I will need to refresh my music sheet reading skills as I haven't had to read any in the last 10 years.

My method is based on each student in particular. It doesn't matter what your level is, I enjoy teaching people who have a commitment to music and art. The main topics we'll work on are: Recognizing the guitar fingerboard, technique, sound, ear training, transcribing, harmony and harmony applied to the instrument, and reading and studying the instrument through the music you like and chose.

To get a feel for the vast world of audio production, it can be helpful to get an introduction. At the same time, my focus is less on the technical side and more on creating sound pieces. However, the basic functions of Ableton and Logic, as well as all common effects, will be explained.
We will learn about different types of microphones and get an introduction to mixing.
If you're interested in singing, I can also offer coaching for that, as well as an introduction to vocal production. The course is designed for beginners and those with a bit of an advanced level. Feel free to write to me about your expectations, and I can put together a suitable approach.

I'm a freelance composer and sound artist who works primarily in songwriting and scoring, as well as in the art field with many electronic elements. I bring many years of experience and have worked with several professional producers in various professional recording studios. Those purely interested in techno and related genres will probably feel more comfortable in a different course.

The courses take place in my own recording studio at home, and the equipment there can be shared.
and we will take recordings that you are free to use.

I’m Yaniv, a classical guitarist and guitar teacher with over 12 years of playing experience and 7 years of teaching experience.

In my lessons, we focus on enjoying the guitar — building skills, confidence, and a love for the music you play.
We can work together on proper technique, reading notation and tabs, playing songs or classical pieces, improvisation, ear training, rhythm, and music theory — all tailored to your personal goals and level.

I understand every student’s journey, because I’ve been there myself. I started learning on my own, and only when I found great teachers did I realize how much professional guidance can make a real difference.

That’s why I design a personalized learning plan for each student, helping them progress in the best and most enjoyable way possible.

I truly love teaching and guiding students through their musical journeys.
For me, it feels like a calling — a way to pass on the rich traditions and knowledge I’ve received from the great teachers I’ve studied with closely over the years.

Each student is a whole world to me. I believe that every person has a unique musical voice, and my goal is to help them discover and develop it.
Teaching is always a two-way process — I keep learning and growing from every student I work with.
