Bass Lessons: online, with written and video material provided
From 24.89 C$ /h
Since 2021 I have been a private bass tutor, teaching face to face and online. I can help you build a strong foundation for any musical genre. Most of my students pursue bass as a hobby or a creative outlet, writing songs or performing in bands. I have also helped players prepare for Trinity Rock & Pop or GCSE exams.
I provide written notes and video material and can help you organize your practice time. I set aside 30 minutes of prep time per lesson, which can also be used to transcribe and film tutorials for songs of your choice. I encourage all my students to apply the skills they learn in their own personal way.
You will get enjoy what you learn very soon. Your lessons will be simple and practical, with a healthy mix of technique, knowledge and repertoire, along with the basic music theory you need to get by.

About Me
I am the current frontman and primary songwriter of Stitch in Time and I am professionally known as Seth Taylor. Aside from guitar I also play and teach bass, sing, and compose drums and additional instruments digitally. I record and mix my own music and have recorded backing tracks and written tablature for my students, including for exams.
As a tutor I find it most rewarding when my students take on songwriting or live performance. I like to encourage creativity, no matter what your plans are for the instrument. Whether you just want to play at home for yourself or to start a band and go on tour, I say make the best of it.
When teaching for exams I am thorough and focused and I pay great attention to details.
Learning an instrument is a process that involves plenty of repetition and your tutor can save you lots of trouble by spotting your mistakes before they become habits. I will help you have a clean sound and play in a healthy and natural way. My goal is for you to feel prepared, calm and confident in the exam room.
