Singers use the voice as an instrument to create music, and in some way express these or other expressions and feelings through their performance.

Within the classes we will work on basic concepts such as tuning, breathing and intonation among others such as self-confidence, how to act or be on stage or improvisation.

There is no one way to "sing well." That is the difficult but so interesting thing about the human voice, no two are alike, every voice has its special touch, and that is that we will try to work so that it develops in a healthy way, but without changing anything else. Your voice is unique.

Would you like to teach singing classes? Simple, come and try. Without any commitment.

The singing classes that I offer are aimed at anyone who enjoys singing regardless of their prior knowledge. And if you like it, but still don't enjoy it, I promise you will enjoy it. It does not matter if you do not have knowledge of music theory, control over your speech apparatus or experience on stage. The only requirement is to have fun.
Extra information
Ideally a good quality microphone is desirable, although a good smartphone or iPad will do for beginners or intermediates.

About Me
After 7 years of training abroad (Holland), I have returned to Spain full of enthusiasm. My training is mostly classical, although I have also done a broader complementary training: pop singing, choral conducting, tango, flamenco and Arabic music.

I have always felt an affinity with pedagogy. During the superior I had the subject of pedagogy applied to singing and I liked it so much that I also began to give private classes (to children and adults), as a freelance worker. That is why I would like to continue teaching music classes, specifically singing. Also, I feel that this, in turn, continues to give me the flexibility I want to continue auditioning for theaters and giving concerts.

I play guitar and piano, and I use both instruments with my students, as well as karaoke tools.

Do you want to know your vocal range? To be able to sing higher notes without damaging your voice? To learn how to sing transitional notes? To achieve a powerful yet agile voice?

My name is Matteo Schifanoia, I am a songwriter, pop and jazz singer, and vocal coach with 20 years of experience in music. I offer singing lessons for all levels. My lessons focus on developing body, muscle, and vocal awareness, which helps us perceive and consider our bodies as musical instruments.

My teaching method is the result of the synthesis of my experience as a singer and the many and diverse study paths followed. The lesson is structured in two parts: the first half devoted to vocal technique, the second half to the musical repertoire and learning the musical language (jazz or pop or other genre).

The vocal technique that I propose is a basic technique for all types of modern singing: from postural education to the care of breathing, from the use of abdominal muscles, to the emission of air to the resonance cavities. We will work on the sound, on the extension of the voice, on the high and low notes, on the passage of register, on the control, on the power and agility.

From a repertoire perspective, the lessons will be tailored to the student's needs and interests, with an emphasis on proper stage presence and posture. I can prepare students for conservatory entrance exams and all types of auditions. If the student wishes, I can also provide instruction in harmony and music reading.

My lessons are tailored to each student’s age, experience, and goals.

Children (7–12 years old)
For younger students, lessons focus on building confidence while making learning fun. We begin with simple vocal warm-ups and ear training to develop pitch and intonation, then move on to singing their favourite songs, encouraging good vocal habits in an enjoyable way.

Teenagers (12-17 years old)
With teenage students, we start with more structured vocal warm-ups and exercises. As we discover their natural voice, we work on developing a comfortable vocal range, improving technique, and applying these skills through songs that suit their voice and interests.

Adults and seniors (18+)
For adult students, lessons are usually divided into two parts. We begin with vocal technique, focusing on breathing, diaphragm support, scales, arpeggios, and intonation. We then apply these techniques through singing, helping you develop confidence, control, and healthy vocal habits. I will give you repertoire to study or we will study the pieces you have to prepare. The final goal will be to sing on a musical accompaniment.

Every student learns at a different pace. Some may spend more time building a solid technical foundation before moving on to more challenging repertoire, and that’s perfectly fine. My priority is to ensure that every student feels comfortable, supported, and confident throughout their vocal journey.

I teach children, teenagers, and adults and seniors from complete beginners to advanced singers. My classical training provides a strong technical foundation that can be applied to any musical style, whether you enjoy pop, musical theatre, jazz, rock, or classical singing. Whatever your age or experience, I’d love to help you discover and develop your voice. Let’s sing!

If you struggle with vocal fatigue, throat tightness on high notes, fear of pitch-matching, or non-surgical hoarseness, you can leave those obstacles behind. Singing and healthy voice production are not fixed, innate talents; they are learnable skills rooted in vocal biomechanics, nervous system regulation, and mind-auditory harmony.

At the core of my teaching is an anatomical and holistic approach that frees the voice from rigid, high-pressure drills. I provide a safe, judgment-free space where mistakes are welcomed as a natural part of growth, helping you release involuntary tension in the jaw, tongue root, neck, and posture.

In our lessons, we focus on:

Biomechanical Range & Ease: Expanding your vocal range and hitting bright, powerful high notes without squeezing or straining the throat.

Vocal Health & SOVT Recovery: Restoring vocal stamina and clarity in cases of functional hoarseness, raspiness, or early vocal fatigue using semi-occluded vocal tract (SOVT / Lax Vox) and vocal massage techniques.

Pitch Matching & Ear Coordination: Eliminating the fear of singing out of tune with step-by-step auditory exercises designed to accurately connect your ear and vocal muscles.

Anxiety & Postural Alignment: Managing performance anxiety and body tension through nervous-system-calming breathwork and balanced postural habits.

Occupational Voice Coaching: Strain-free speaking and stamina training for teachers, public speakers, lawyers, and voice professionals.

Tailored Digital Practice: Custom audio exercises provided after each lesson to solidify healthy muscle memory at home.
