Classical Singing with a Real Life Wild Opera Singer
From 111.05 C$ /h
It's a wonderful thing to learn to play an instrument. But lots of violins look and sound the same, tubas are hard to carry, and drums annoy all your neighbours. Far better to not only play the instrument, but to BE it too. With 5 years of frontline vocal training and experience (ENO Harewood Artist, Glyndebourne Jerwood Artist, Royal Academy Opera, Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Oxford University Choral Scholar) and a background in teaching and study skills, I am ready to help you unlock the power of your own unique instrument.

About Me
Hi!
My name is Patrick and I'm from London. I'm a baritone at the English National Opera, as one of their Harewood Artists. I have degrees in singing from the Royal Academy of Music and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, and a music undergrad and Masters in Music (in composition and music theory!) from the University of Oxford. I am a yeoman of the Musician's Company, as part of winning Glyndebourne's John Christie Award as a Jerwood Young Artist there in 2022. With the Musician's Company I have taught a range of students with SEND, and have privately taught singing, music theory, and GCSE Music to a variety of young scholars. I can't wait to meet you!

Fan of Jacob Collier? Want to know how Beethoven could compose despite being deaf? Want to get past Grade 5 Theory...?
In this class I can help you understand the mechanics of the Arcane Art of Music. Impress your friends with your improvisation, knowingly judge performances of elite classical musicans on the radio, and maybe even become a world-renowned artist yourself. With my academic and teaching experience in this discipline (University of Oxford Masters in Music Theory and Composition, with Distinction; College Lecturer in Music, University of Oxford; private tutoring in GCSE Music and Music Theory), I make learning the complicated act of Music Theory easy and accessible, through analogies to science, memes, jokes and design work to make it fun and engaging.
