About Me

I have more than ten years of experience as a private teacher. I have also worked in schools -La Salle and Escolapias- and I teach at all levels and ages. I have taught people with dyslexia, attention deficit, Down's Syndrome, autism and Asperger's Syndrome.

I try to make my classes dynamic and creative. We work on pieces proposed by the student or by me as long as they motivate the performer; at each level there is a huge amount of works and it is essential to learn to play with passion.

I think that anyone can play the piano if they practice regularly and put their heart and soul into it. I have students who have started without any knowledge when retirement came and young people who had been playing the instrument for years, and in both cases we have managed to make very satisfactory progress. There is no secret other than to train and enjoy.

I teach singing, piano, music awareness/introduction and solfège.

I live in Madrid and I am a student of a Higher Degree in Singing (Jazz and Modern Music). I dedicate a good part of my time to teaching (musical and linguistic) in the format of private classes online or at home.

I started giving private classes at home to children when I lived in Germany. During the 22-23 academic year I gave piano classes to students of all ages at the RedMusik Music School (Igualada, Catalonia).
I studied the piano and other instruments for more than 15 years at the UGDA and at the Luxembourg City Conservatory of Music. After many years of music theory and piano I obtained the „Première Mention“ certificate from the Conservatory, with the qualification "Très Bien".

A good music lesson should include not only technique and reading sheet music, but also theoretical and harmonic study, improvisation, recreational playing with the instrument, and ear training and rhythm exercises. I am interested in designing the lesson creatively and adapting it to the needs and desires of the student.

To learn an instrument from scratch you must know the basics of music (musical notes, scales, treble clef, bass clef...etc). If you already have this knowledge, great. If you don't, great too, I'm here to teach you.
