Piano and/or drama lessons for beginner and intermediate levels

From 43 C$ /h

I am Violeta Amat, a pianist and actress living in Madrid.
I am looking for students interested in exploring music and/or theater from both a technical and creative perspective. My experience and training in theater have allowed me to develop a pedagogical approach that combines both disciplines: music and theater. Theatrical tools allow me to work with students on stage fright and the development of their own sound through activities involving fantasy, play, and imagination.
In this way, I teach both theater and music (piano) classes, either independently or by combining both disciplines.

Extra information

The classes I offer can be either standard piano lessons or combined with theater, where the dynamics will be more diverse and with different objectives.

About Me

Hello, I'm Violeta, an actress and pianist living in Madrid. My main training is in theater, with a degree in acting, and I also have a solid musical background, having completed a Bachelor's degree.
Conservatory Professional.
I teach because I see artistic learning as a holistic process where technique, expression, and confidence go hand in hand. My pedagogical approach combines music and theater, integrating theatrical techniques into piano lessons. Through playful and imaginative activities, I help students overcome stage fright, improve concentration, and develop their own unique sound (always building upon a solid technical foundation).
Each class will be prepared individually, adapting the content to the age, level and objectives of the student, whether it is for initiation, reinforcement or mere personal enjoyment.

I work with a dynamic attitude, using ease to communicate in public, both live and by phone or virtually, I try to convey the illusion that Music gives me back. With versatility, I seek to establish ways to meet the needs of the student, thus perfecting my goals as a teacher. Delighted to learn and expand horizons with each experience.

In addition to teaching in general, the objective of the classes is personalized, it proposes to strengthen the natural abilities of the student, thus increasing his creative horizon, through a playful and fun system; learning, perfecting and playing.

My goal is to give enough tools to not need me or, in other words, use what I have learned to continue learning ...

CLASSES IN SPANISH, CATALAN, FRANÇAIS, DEUTSCH, ENGLISH

I teach singing, piano, music awareness/introduction and solfège.

I live in Madrid and I'm a student pursuing a higher degree in singing (jazz and contemporary music). I dedicate a good part of my time to teaching (music and language) through private online or in-person lessons.

I started giving private lessons to children at their homes when I lived in Germany. During the 2022-2023 academic year, I taught piano to students of all ages at the RedMusik Music School (Igualada, Catalonia).

I studied piano and other instruments for over 15 years at the UGDA and the Luxembourg City Conservatory. After many years of solfège and piano, I obtained the Conservatory's "Première Mention" certificate with the highest possible grade, "Très Bien".

A good music lesson should include not only technique and reading sheet music, but also theoretical and harmonic study, improvisation, recreational playing with the instrument, and ear training and rhythm exercises. I am interested in designing the lesson creatively and adapting it to the needs and desires of the student.

I hope I can encourage you to move forward with your musical learning, and if that's the case, don't hesitate to write to me with any questions you may have :)

See you soon!
Aurélie

Playing the piano stimulates and shapes the brain, increases productivity and concentration, helps overcome stress and depression, improves posture, encourages perseverance and discipline, in addition to developing greater sensitivity by expressing our deepest emotions.

With this course, you will learn to get started or develop your skills as a pianist, also working on the bases of musical theory, in a dynamic and fun way. As a teacher, I adapt to the student's musical tastes to work on their favorite genres on the instrument and I also guide them, if they wish, in the composition of their own songs. Classes suitable for all ages, basic and intermediate level.

Possibility of taking the class in English if necessary.

In this course you will learn to understand your body through music. To play piano we need more than our fingers, you will learn to feel your body, the relaxation that passes through it and the necessary movements you must make to be able to properly play the piano.
You will also learn a lot about each era, starting from the Baroque to today. You will be able to see how each era is unique and the way of seeing and feeling music in each of them.
You will learn many ways to study, so that you can continue at home alone with the certainty of doing well.
We will learn together, because I am convinced that teaching is a way of learning too.

It is never too late to enjoy music. There are thousands of ways in which a person can enter this wonderful world, either through a more practical approach, playing a musical instrument; or with a more theoretical approach, learning harmony, analysis and composition.
