About Me

Hi! My name is Pavlo and I'm a piano teacher from Ukraine. I have a lot to share with you if you want to learn something new in music. I am most interested in teaching you how to play with pleasure and for pleasure. And this is my lifestyle.
Laureate of some competitions, among them the 1st International Piano Competition "Ville de Gagny" (France, 2013, 1st prize). Since 2011, I have been performing in various cities of Ukraine as a soloist, with orchestras and ensembles.
Since 2010 I am a co-founder of the annual festival "Dzenzelivka classical week", where about 50 concerts were performed by young musicians from Ukraine and abroad.
In April 2018, I received a special diploma in the "Concours-festival répertoire pianistique moderne" in Paris (France).
In 2018 became the Wagner Society scholarship holder (Bayreuth, Germany).
Today I'm mostly a piano teacher and work with children and adults as well.

In 2018, I improved my performing skills at international courses "Bieszczady bez granic" in Sanok (Poland) with prof. Kevin Kenner and Takashi Yamamoto.

My name is Denise and I'm a professional singer with a singing master's degree from Catalonia's Music College (ESMUC) specialized in Historical Singing, Musicology and Music Education.

I teach for all levels, from children starting from zero to students who want to prepare certifications at the Conservatories, passing through amateurs or simply curious of any age.

I firmly believe in the importance of knowing how to read music and this is exactly what I teach first, obviously adapting the method to the age of my students: knowing how to read music is knowing one more language, which, if learned well, won’t ever be forgotten (like riding a bicycle!) and it is an invaluable wealth. In that case the lessons will include contents of piano technique, score reading, applied harmony on the keyboard, composition, improvisation, musical arrangement, music production, recording techniques, jazz and pop music analysis and performance. Both programs can be combined depending on the focus and the profile of the student, or in case the student would like to go deeper in one of the previously mentioned subjects there is the opportunity to take an independent course of specialization on the desired topic. At the end of the semester every student will perform at the winter and summer concerts held every year and will have the possibility of making a recording session with the material worked during the term. With this, the student will not only be able to see his progress and work, but also will give him a direct experience of performing and working on a live or studio recording session, which is a fundamental part of the developing process of every musician.

I offer piano lessons for adults and children, tailored to your goals and preferences. Each lesson lasts 45 minutes. Lessons are conducted in English, German and Russian. I teach piano at home in Vienna’s 3rd district and online on a beautiful Yamaha piano.

I am an award-winning pianist in international competitions, a graduate of the Moscow Conservatory named after P.I. Tchaikovsky (BA), and currently a student at the Anton Bruckner University in Austria (MA).

I have developed my own teaching methodology, which varies depending on the student's age, skill level, and preferences. With extensive teaching experience for both adults and children, I have completed pedagogical practice and a piano teaching methodology course at the Moscow Conservatory. I teach beginners from scratch, prepare school students for exams, competitions, concerts, and entrance exams. I teach online via Zoom, using software which allows you to see the exact keys I'm playing on my keyboard.

My teaching method is to focus on whatever type of music the student loves most, and to build from there. I believe that many people give up their dream of playing an instrument simply because they aren't inspired enough, so my goal is to instill a love for music, whatever that means personally for each individual student.

Everyone learns differently and has their own pace and rhythm. I have some students who like to have a regular weekly or biweekly lesson, and others who just get in touch once in a while when they have digested the previous lesson and feel ready to build on it. Whatever the case, I am very flexible and we can figure out what works best for you.

A bit about me:

Originally honing my skills on the British jazz scene and holding residencies in restaurants and bars around the country, I then went on to tour the world playing on cruise ships, hotels and festivals. I returned to London to complete my master's in jazz piano at the Guildhall School of Music, and during this time performed regularly at Ronnie Scotts, The Vortex and many other venues across the UK. I then spent two years in South America learning about salsa and Cuban music. I now mainly work as a transcriber, writing sheet music for all instruments including full Big Band scores. I have also worked extensively in musical theatre, most recently as musical director for 'Jersey Boys', and on the first US national tour of 'Summer: the Donna Summer Musical'. The video shown below is from my stint playing and directing 'After Midnight', a show set to the music of the Duke Ellington Big Band.
