Fun, Comprehensive Piano Lessons for Kids at Affordable Rates
From 64.41 C$ /h
This is an online private piano class for all ages, interests, and backgrounds. We will use Faber method books and solo repertoire (from Disney, videogame music, RCM/MTNA recommended lists) determined by age, level, and student interests! Just to keep them motivated, students will be given the option to play in informal recitals and participate in recital games every semester. Students may also play in RCM or MTNA events if they're interested but there's never pressure to do so.
Students will need a digital piano or keyboard, or an acoustic piano in order to practice. It's important that piano inspires a good school-life balance and is fun for students! A 5-8 year-old will only need to practice 15-30 minutes a day. Most 9+ only need 20-45 mins a day.

About Me
Hi,
I've taught piano to adults and children for the last 15 years. Lessons at my studio include progressive lesson books, fun solo repertoire, and virtual live recitals with group music education video games.
We will use Faber/Alfred method books and fun and/or festival geared solo books at the right age and level. (We won't mess around using books meant for a 9-year-old on a 6-year-old. Or make adults play "childish" material :) I'm very passionate about my music library! I love helping students find solo pieces they really click with.
Just a quick bio about me. I started piano at age 5, as many piano teachers do. At 15, I decided to study with Rowan University's piano faculty when I really started to focus on piano. While working on my degree at Brigham Young University, I took lessons in Vienna, Austria with faculty at the University of Vienna and the Vienna Konservatorium. In 2014, I graduated with a piano performance degree from BYU under Dr. Richard Anderson. Since then I’ve taught privately in Utah, judging in Encore and other regional competitions. I worked at the Utah Piano Academy for two years before moving states. I am a member of the Music
Teachers National Association.
