About Me
I am a pianist, musician and piano teacher, with academic training at the Conservatory and a musical career that combines the study of classical music with an interest in jazz, popular music and other genres.
I see piano teaching as a process that goes far beyond learning to read sheet music and correctly reproduce the notes. My goal is to train musicians capable of understanding what they are playing, developing artistic sensitivity, and finding their own musical voice.
In my classes, I emphasize the development of technique, music reading, understanding musical language, expression, and interpretation. I believe that technique should serve the music and not become an end in itself.
My pedagogical approach seeks to move away from overly mechanical or rigid teaching methods. I am interested in students developing curiosity, creativity, initiative, and critical thinking skills. I believe that musical performance is not simply about faithfully reproducing a score, but also about understanding its language, discovering its expressive possibilities, and learning to make well-founded musical decisions.
I work with the conviction that each student has a different personality, learning pace, and interests. Therefore, I consider it important to adapt my teaching to each student, without losing sight of the fundamentals of a good piano education.
My philosophy: to teach how to play the piano, but also to teach how to think, feel and make music.

Education
My training includes the study of classical repertoire, piano technique, musical reading, interpretation and analysis of musical language, with special interest in the styles and interpretive criteria of different eras.
Throughout my career I have also developed an interest in jazz and popular music, broadening my vision of the piano beyond the strictly academic sphere.
My experience as a performer and teacher has allowed me to develop a teaching approach that integrates the foundations of classical training with creativity, expressiveness, and the search for one's own musical identity.

Experience / Qualifications
For more than two decades I have been developing a personal experiment on perception, valuation, and bias in musical appreciation, exploring how expectations, attributed authorship, and composer prestige can influence the judgment of musicians and teachers.
Through various experiences, I have observed how the same musical proposal can receive different evaluations depending on whether it is attributed to an established composer or an unknown author.
This experience has helped develop a critical stance towards traditional criteria for musical evaluation and has reinforced his conviction that music education should foster conscious listening, independent thinking and the ability to judge a work on its own merits, without depending exclusively on the prestige of its author.
