Ik ben Mark, pianist en student aan Conservatorium Maastricht. In 2026 werd ik toegelaten tot zowel Berklee College of Music (VS) als Conservatorium Maastricht, waar ik ervoor koos mijn studie voort te zetten.

Ik geef pianolessen aan leerlingen van alle leeftijden en niveaus. Tijdens de lessen werken we aan pianotechniek, muzikaliteit, improvisatie, gehoortraining en muziektheorie, altijd afgestemd op jouw persoonlijke doelen en muzikale interesses.

Je kunt kiezen voor klassieke piano, jazz, improvisatie of een combinatie hiervan. Of je nu helemaal vanaf het begin begint, al ervaring hebt of je voorbereidt op een toelatingsexamen of conservatoriumstudie, ik pas de lessen aan jouw niveau en doelen aan.

I have several years of experience teaching students of different ages and ability levels, including beginners. I have worked in music schools teaching violin, guitar, music theory and practical musicianship, and have experience preparing students for Trinity College London examinations and performances.

Lessons can cover instrumental technique, music theory, sight-reading, rhythm, chords, songs, repertoire and performance skills. Whether you are starting from scratch, looking to improve your technique, or preparing for an examination or performance, lessons can be adapted to your individual needs.

I also have extensive live performance experience as a violinist and bassist, performing with bands and as a solo musician at weddings, events, hotels, restaurants, clubs and corporate functions.

My aim is to help students develop their musical skills, confidence and enjoyment while learning in a relaxed and supportive environment.

I graduated in piano from the University of Aveiro (in the class of Álvaro Teixeira Lopes) and I will soon begin my master's degree in performance at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels (with Aleksandar Madžar), while also taking courses with Olivier Gardon.

Throughout my career, I have won prizes at international competitions in Portugal, Italy, and Austria, and I was also a finalist in Spain. As a pianist, I have had the opportunity to perform on stage in Portugal, Spain, France, Germany, and Austria.

I am constantly seeking to improve myself, which has led me to participate in masterclasses and take courses with renowned professors, such as Ricardo Castro, Mamiko Suda, Giuseppe Andaloro, Vagharshak Aratunyan, Josep Colom, among many others.

I have had the great opportunity to give piano lessons and lead masterclasses, and in recent years, to share my experience and perspective with students of all ages and from diverse backgrounds.
