Learning instruments can be tricky. Especially when you are first starting. Personally, I started my musical journey when i was 13, just before lockdown hit. Now I'm 18, I am self taught with acoustic, electric and bass guitar. I'm more adept to playing acoustic as it's the first thing i learned. I have taught myself a number of songs on piano, and composed original pieces.

This 1 to 1 class will teach the basics of learning how to play guitar, including:
- how to hold the guitar properly
- what the different parts of the guitar are called
- chords
- strumming
- picking
- tabs (you can learn almost any song once you learn how to read tabs)

Or, starting to get comfortable playing piano. Such as:
- chords
- notes
- playing with both hands at a beginner level, and how to work your way up

About Me

My name is Jayden, I'm self taught with everything musical. I used to teach via instagram to people i met through my (now, deactivated) production account. Once you have the basics down, you can play pretty much anything. I always start with getting to know the guitar first, as in the frets and strings, it's fundamental to learning how to play better.

I went to a performing arts school that taught music since I was 11, and I then studied music for 2 years at GCSE level, I began studying at A level standards but there wasn't enough people on my production course. I have been playing on and off for 5 years or so.

Experience / Qualifications

My experience with playing guitar and piano extends to pre-lockdown. I took an interest in guitar when I was a toddler but actually started learning when I was 13. I always wanted to learn how to play piano, so I decided to learn "Experience", which I can now play the full song. I learned within weeks, so with the newfound confidence, I decided to start learning other songs to build my confidence more with playing trickier songs.

Folk or classical acoustic guitar.

The teaching philosophy is adapted to the level of each individual, according to the pace of work and motivation.

For example, for beginners: Technique of the plectrum or fingers, coordination and correction of the right and left hand. Learning basic chords, simple themes, simple rhythms, reading tablatures (...).

For intermediaries: development of rhythm, construction of chords, writing of tablatures, basic notions of harmony (...).

Depending on your goals, you can learn, if you wish, to play 60 to 80% of current music from the first lessons, which often use the same chords and the same techniques. The objectives take into consideration the following points:

I teach for all levels, from children starting from zero to students who want to prepare certifications at the Conservatories, passing through amateurs or simply curious of any age.

I firmly believe in the importance of knowing how to read music and this is exactly what I teach first, obviously adapting the method to the age of my students: knowing how to read music is knowing one more language, which, if learned well, won’t ever be forgotten (like riding a bicycle!) and it is an invaluable wealth. At my studio my students will not only learn how to play the piano, but they will receive a complete musical education in order to achieve their musical dreams.
