About Me

I hope to unlock the potential and passion of my students in a self-paced and enjoyable way. I work on developing my students’ technical proficiency and inspire their musical creativity with a new and innovative approach to learning to play the guitar online.

I strive to encourage, inspire, motivate and support in a nurturing, safe, yet fun-filled online environment, designed for all ages and levels of guitar skills. I enjoy all genres of music and am able to teach most styles. I have years of experience tutoring children from as young as 6 years old right up to ladies and gents in their 70's.

My teaching methodology : - for those that prefer a structured approach, a step for step guided plan/book is followed, and for those that prefer a less structured but more self goal based way of learning to play; we will focus more on your set goals and topics of interest. I also provide practice materials and necessary resources for every lesson.

The teaching philosophy is adapted to the level of each individual, according to the pace of work and motivation.

For example, for beginners: Technique of the plectrum or fingers, coordination and correction of the right and left hand. Learning basic chords, simple themes, simple rhythms, reading tablatures (...).

For intermediaries: development of rhythm, construction of chords, writing of tablatures, basic notions of harmony (...).

Depending on your goals, you can learn, if you wish, to play 60 to 80% of current music from the first lessons, which often use the same chords and the same techniques. The objectives take into consideration the following points:

-Study of various playing techniques, chords, harmony, music of your choice, rhythm, with reading of tablature, teaching structured around the repertoire you like, technique of developing the musical ear
- Discovery of the neck, notes and basic positions of open chords
