I am a Scottish Singer/Songwriter/Radio Broadcaster and I am lucky enough to have been a songwriter on songs that have sold millions of records, achieved several Billboard #1s, written hit singles in Japan, South Korea, China and more.

I also have a postgraduate qualification in teaching in Further Education and have years of experience as a lecturer in music, media, and students with additional support needs.

Folk or classical acoustic guitar.

The teaching philosophy is adapted to the level of each individual, according to the pace of work and motivation.

For example, for beginners: Technique of the plectrum or fingers, coordination and correction of the right and left hand. Learning basic chords, simple themes, simple rhythms, reading tablatures (...).

For intermediaries: development of rhythm, construction of chords, writing of tablatures, basic notions of harmony (...).

Depending on your goals, you can learn, if you wish, to play 60 to 80% of current music from the first lessons, which often use the same chords and the same techniques. The objectives take into consideration the following points:

The most important matter that I could write here about is my passion to teach. I've been teaching already for more than 10 years, from kids to adults. Turkish reed flute is an essential instrument of Turkish Classcial Music. It has a deep and dense culture dating from 13. century around. If you want to learn about how to perform it you first need a teacher educated by masters on this field. As of many teachers you can find online but you make sure that not every tutor meets with traditional style.
Solfege and method are inseperable parts of the lessons. So for beginners and intermediate students must follow a compotent tutor to learn about the way of classic form.

At the end of the semester every student will perform at the winter and summer concerts held every year and will have the possibility of making a recording session with the material worked during the term. With this, the student will not only be able to see his progress and work, but also will give him a direct experience of performing and working on a live or studio recording session, which is a fundamental part of the developing process of every musician.

This has never been so true as the present day when you can hear what you compose instantly if you use computers to generate and play back your own music.
