I've been a full-time professional guitar teacher for the last 12 years, during which time I've helped over 500 guitar players to develop their musical skills and achieve their goals!

I love to teach all aspects of modern music and guitar styles, with a specialism in modern techniques and applied music theory. I have complete course notes written to develop all popular techniques from the ground-up, as well as music theory courses, style studies for most of the important figures in the development of rock guitar and a foundation sight reading course for modern guitar amongst others - all notes have been developed over the last decade as I continue to teach and update them in line with my experiences working through them with students.

My name is Denise and I'm a professional singer with a singing master's degree from Catalonia's Music College (ESMUC) specialized in Historical Singing, Musicology and Music Education.
My experience runs mostly in early and chamber music, nevertheless I also have the experience and knowledge of popular musical styles such as Latin-American folk, jazz and musicals.

Folk or classical acoustic guitar.

The teaching philosophy is adapted to the level of each individual, according to the pace of work and motivation.

For example, for beginners: Technique of the plectrum or fingers, coordination and correction of the right and left hand. Learning basic chords, simple themes, simple rhythms, reading tablatures (...).

For intermediaries: development of rhythm, construction of chords, writing of tablatures, basic notions of harmony (...).

Depending on your goals, you can learn, if you wish, to play 60 to 80% of current music from the first lessons, which often use the same chords and the same techniques. The objectives take into consideration the following points:

At my studio my students will not only learn how to play the piano, but they will receive a complete musical education in order to achieve their musical dreams. For some people there is only one way to tackle the unmentionable but I believe there are many different approaches and one of them will click with you.
