About Me
I am a musician passionate about the cello, with a deep desire to share my knowledge and love for this instrument. I received classical training at a prestigious conservatory, where I acquired my expertise through years of practice and teaching.
I teach because music is a universal language that connects people beyond words. My goal is not only to develop technically proficient cellists, but also to inspire my students, help them express themselves through music, and build their confidence.
In Salzburg, an iconic city of music, I aim to offer personalized instruction in English and French, attracting both local and international students. I tailor my classes to the needs of each student, whether they are beginners discovering the cello or more advanced musicians seeking to refine their technique and expressiveness.
For me, teaching means sharing a passion, awakening musical sensitivity and supporting each student in their artistic journey with kindness and rigor.

Experience / Qualifications
Simon is a French cellist. He began his cello studies with Marcel Bardon before continuing his studies with Dominique de Williencourt and Juliette Salmona at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Paris. He then continued his studies at the Royal Academy of Music in London, where he earned his Bachelor of Music degree in 2021, followed by a Master of Arts degree in 2023 with Robert Cohen.
During his years at the Academy, chamber music quickly took center stage in his career. He performed with numerous artists and played in some of London's finest venues, including the Wigmore Hall with James Ehnes for
Mendelssohn's Octet and at the Southbank Centre, where he is a section leader in Mahler's Third Symphony under Semyon Bychkov. Simon also takes part in masterclasses with Sun-Wong Yang and Steven Isserlis.
Simon is a member of the Kyan Quartet, with whom he is particularly active, touring concert halls across the UK. This year he is undertaking a tour of Scotland and collaborating with the Carducci Quartet on a Shostakovich project at the Barbican Centre in
London. With the quartet, he performs at prestigious London venues such as Wigmore Hall, St. Martin-in-the-Fields, and Smith Square Hall. He also has the pleasure of working with the Belcea Quartet and members of the Jerusalem and Doric Quartets.
Currently, the Kyan Quartet is perfecting its skills in Salzburg with Cibrán Sierra (Quiroga Quartet) and Rainer Schmidt (Hagen Quartet).
