I’m Mustafa, a professional cellist and cello instructor from İzmir, Türkiye 🇹🇷
I have been playing the cello for more than 25 years and teaching students of different ages and levels for many years.

My musical background is deeply rooted in Western Classical Music 🎼, while I also have a strong understanding of Arabic music traditions. I started learning cello at a very young age with my father, who was a cellist at the İzmir State Opera and Ballet, and since then music has been the center of my life.

My name is María, I am a Venezuelan Cellist.
All my musical education was inside the musical program "El Sistema" in Venezuela. This education was based on preparing myself as a better human being though playing cello in orchestras, chamber music and as soloist.
I am current studying my Master degree at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel.
In what consist my lessons?
Cello classes for all levels (beginner, intermediate and advanced), it does not matter if you have never played cello before or if you are already studying, the important thing is to help you achieve the goals you want with this beautiful instrument.
To have better results with practice, if it is necessary to help you with music theory, I will help you.
As well, if you're looking for help in orchestral excerpts for auditions, I'm here for you!
For kids, parental support is also important during some lesson, we are all a team and we need to work together to achieve the goals!

Hello!
I am Irene, a graduated Master student at HKU Utrecht Conservatorium, and I offer cello lessons to people of all ages, both online and in person.
I have more than 7 years of experience teaching both adults and children, in private lessons, group lessons and music schools.
I have also taught music theory and piano to beginners.
The lessons could work in different ways: regular lessons every one or two weeks, or just a couple of times, etc. I have had students that only wanted to learn a bit, and I also have students that have continued for some years with me. I could also adjust the duration of the lessons from 30mins (especially for younger kids) to 1h.

Hello! I've been teaching continuously for over 10 years, and I'd like to explain what you can expect from a class with me.

Personalized approach: The most important thing is to know what you want to achieve. I will tailor the lessons to your needs: playing for pleasure at home is not the same as preparing for entrance exams (although always with the same rigor). Your goals will influence the methodology, the organization of your studies, the repertoire, and so on.

Relaxed (but rigorous) environment: Once you've defined your goals, classes will be dynamic and pressure-free. Note! "Relaxed" doesn't mean undemanding; we'll just avoid military methods—especially given my personality and sense of humor.

Music, not just notes: My methods are very dynamic, with a special emphasis on hearing and musicality. No "read, play, and turn the page." I avoid approaches obsessed with reading sheet music without memorizing, listening, or understanding what is being played. I want you to own your performance and make artistic decisions. Warning! I might even make you sing.

No stylistic barriers: Thanks to my training in Jazz and Modern Music, I give equal importance to all genres. Adapting to your tastes, we'll go from baroque to blues, from Haydn to bebop... or even Michael Jackson. Why not?

Hello there!

My name is Antek and i'm a cellist, pianist and composer who graduated from Conservatorium van Amsterdam. As a cellist I've had the pleasure and honour of collaborating with renowned artists such as Hans Zimmer, being part of his 2022 European Tour Orchestra, touring over 15 countries and playing in locations such as London's O2 Arena or Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam. I am now mainly active as a performer of contemporary/experimental music, as well as classical music, freelancing in various orchestras in the Netherlands, having played in venues such as Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ, Concertgebouw or TivoliVredenburg. I offer cello lessons, regardless of the level - whether you are a curious beginner or more advanced player, i'm happy to collaborate and share my knowledge and experience with you, as well as inspire your creativity regarding both playing the right notes, and making artistic choices.

I can also help you prepare for conservatory entrance exams by providing Solfege, Ear-training and General Music Theory lessons.

As a composer, I'm currently pursuing a degree at Royal Conservatoire of Antwerp. I can help you work on your ideas, and how to write them down, to sound exactly how you want them to sound. That includes tutorials on engraving rules, orchestration, working in DAWs (Ableton) and using sheet music software (Sibelius, MuseScore), as well as building your craft and workflow. I'm experienced in writing both instrumental and electronic music, as well as performance art, live electronics and multidisciplinary projects. Growing with joy in playing – developing technique through favorite pieces.

One of the most exciting aspects of playing the piano is the ability to play favorite tunes from movies and Disney fairy tales. You can easily learn and play popular songs that both children and adults will enjoy. This makes practicing the piano even more interesting and inspiring, as you can enjoy familiar and beloved melodies.

In my lessons, we'll explore jazz and pop music together on the piano. We'll play the music you love. If you'd also like to learn classical works, we're happy to incorporate that music into the lessons. Cello lessons focus on developing fundamental playing techniques, musical understanding, and performance skills. Students learn proper posture, bow control, intonation, rhythm, and tone production through scales, exercises, and repertoire appropriate to their level.

I have experience teaching students at all ages and skill levels. I particularly enjoy helping beginners build their technique and love for the cello!

My lessons are tailored to each student’s goals, level, and personality. Some students want a clear path through RCM exams, scales, études, and repertoire. Others want to play for fun, return to the cello after years away, work on pop or film music, or feel less tense and frustrated when they practise. I’m happy working with beginners, adult learners, returning players, and more advanced students looking for technical or musical refinement.

A major focus of my teaching is helping students make playing feel easier. That means building a reliable technique, but also learning how to notice unnecessary tension, use the body more naturally, practise more effectively, and avoid the common habits that can lead to pain or injury. I try to explain things clearly and practically, without making lessons feel overly rigid or intimidating.

Depending on the student, lessons may include classical repertoire, RCM preparation, scales and études, popular music, and practice strategies. My music theory background also helps me explain how music works, not just where the fingers go.

Most of all, I want students to feel supported, curious, and capable. Cello can be difficult, but it shouldn’t feel mysterious or physically punishing. Whether your goal is an exam, a performance, or simply enjoying the instrument more, I’ll help you build the tools to make steady, satisfying progress and have fun in the process!
