I am Kadir Yılmaz, your Turkish teacher. I would like to give some information about my lessons and my social media links.

My lessons are completely private lessons I prepare them according to your needs. I follow my own coursebook from various resources. My lessons are based on speaking activities. I also do reading, listening, writing, and video activities. I teach vocabulary by using flashcards.

If you want to do your homework I will give you some exercises and after doing them you will send them back by e-mail. I will check them before the lessons and we will focus on only mistakes not wasting time during the lessons.

I do my lessons by using Google Meet and sharing my screen during the lessons so you can follow the lessons easily. If you want you can record the lessons and watch them whenever you want.

You can choose 1 or 1.5-hour sessions and I recommend you at least two or three sessions a week. We can arrange the length of the session and times a week according to your needs, availability, and budget.

You can postpone or cancel the lessons by informing 24 hours beforehand. If you cancel the lesson on the same day the lesson will be supposed as done. Also, you can make a regular schedule or you can tell the time of the next lesson after each lesson.

The price includes all materials.

About Me

SHORT RESUME

I began teaching at American Culture Language Schools in January 2013 and I worked there for a year. I have taught Turkish and English to people of varying ages and from various countries.

I began my business life as an accountant in 1981 then in the banking sector go on. After working 24 years in the banking sector, I retired at the end of 2012.

I graduated from Karabuk University, English literature department. I also completed “Turkish Teaching Training Programme” and “International English Teaching Certificate” courses. Furthermore, I have a “Business Management” master's degree which was prepared by The University of Maine and Marmara University, and a bachelor's degree in economics from Istanbul University.

My basic philosophy is transferring my knowledge to my students efficiently, organizing the lessons for each student privately, and entertaining them in the process so as to stimulate them to get the pleasure of learning Turkish.

Based on my 13 years of experience, I think that A1 level is a very important period in language learning. When learning any language, beginner level students should learn it in the correct order and important details should be explained well by practising previous ones. Students at more advanced levels, such as A2, B1 or above, also need to practice their skills at the previous level thoroughly to improve their language skills. I try to provide good teaching by paying attention to these important points in my lessons. I keep our lessons' notes in a word file. After our lessons, I send you back all the additional notes and exercises that we covered in our lesson as a Word file.
