Spanish is an incredibly wide spoken language and a rewarding language to learn once you put your heart and mind into it. We will focus on all aspects of learning the language including reading, writing, listening and speaking in the context of specific topics and even use current affairs to read real and updated news articles to engage more closely with the language.

About Me
I am a third year BSc Economics at the University of Warwick and during my first year I achieved a First Class classification and maintained this during my second year. I’m thoroughly enjoying my course and maths underpins a large part of my degree so I am still consistently in touch with the subject. I would love to pass on my enthusiasm for maths through teaching and helping you to achieve your goals. Having achieved top grades at IGCSE and as part of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme at King's College School Wimbledon, I am confident that I have the background to help you achieve similar grades. My school exam success derived from plentiful exam style practice, and this is something that I will try to mirror in my lessons to help you to achieve top grades. During my school career, I taught English and geography to children from local schools each Friday to supplement their curriculum learning. This provided me with a well-rounded experience in terms of working with children and trying to find innovative and interactive ways to make learning more enjoyable. More recently, I have become the Head of Insights at Warwick Finance Society which involves the production of financial news and I have also taken on a mentorship role to guide students in the year below during their university life as well as securing spring and summer internships at investment banks, as I have done so myself. This summer I was a Summer Analyst at Citi investment bank and I will be returning as a full-time analyst next year.
I structure lessons very closely around topics with which the student needs guidance and practice. For example, in relation to Spanish, if the weaker topic area is 'holidays and leisure time', we would focus on this by practising reading exercises on the topic to expand vocabulary, listening exercises to build confidence, writing exercises on the topic, grammar exercises that may be relevant and speaking regularly on the topic as this will also be examined. In relation to maths I tend to teach the foundations and principles of topics to students and then we work through questions where I guide the student but I ask them to tackle them alone first so that they can build confidence. After some progress, the student will be able to comfortably tackle exam style questions.

Economics surrounds our daily lives and my purpose is to teach A level and IB students preparing for their exams in an innovative manner drawing upon current and real life examples to illustrate economic concepts memorably. I teach the foundations of each topic and then work through exam style questions to help students build confidence in their ability whilst guiding their answers into a structure which examiners favour. I have helped my previous A level students to achieve their desired grades and attend their top choice universities.
