Spanish, Catalan and conversational English: speak like a native
From 60 C$ /h
Do you feel like you've studied a language in a very theoretical way, but you struggle to communicate fluently in everyday life? That's exactly the kind of classes I teach: practical and conversational sessions, much more focused on speaking than theory, designed to help you gain real fluency both in everyday life and in professional contexts.
I tailor each lesson to what truly motivates you: we can discuss current events, your personal interests, or focus on the vocabulary and situations you need for your job. The more relevant the conversation is to you, the faster and more naturally you'll learn.
My classes are taught entirely in the language you want to learn, without translations. Being in direct contact with the language from the very first minute is, for me, the key to authentic learning: this way you train your ear, gain confidence, and start thinking in the language, not just translating it.
If you're looking for a practical, dynamic approach focused on real communication—beyond memorized grammar—I'd be happy to help you achieve it.

About Me
I hold a degree in Translation and Interpreting from the University of Vic and have spent my entire professional life working with languages. Catalan and Spanish are my native languages, and my English is practically native: I lived in England for seven years, where I worked for several years at BBC Worldwide (London) as a sales manager for the Spanish and Portuguese markets. I also hold an Advanced Certificate in English from the Official Language School.
My passion for teaching began in a very concrete way: I was a primary school English teacher at CEIP Sant Climent (Departament d'Educació, Generalitat de Catalunya), and I hold a CAP (Curso de Adaptación Pedagógica - Pedagogical Adaptation Course). Since then, I have combined teaching with an international career as a freelance translator and interpreter—including translation and interpreting work for children's animated series and coordination of multilingual projects—which has given me a keen sensitivity for explaining the nuances of each language.
As a teacher, I adapt to each student's goal: whether it's preparing for an official exam, gaining conversational fluency, improving writing skills, or simply overcoming the fear of speaking. I explain clearly, patiently, and with practical examples drawn from my own experience living and working in different countries. If you're looking for personalized, rigorous, and supportive learning, I'd be delighted to guide you through the process.
