Lessons are adapted to your level, goals and interests. We can focus on speaking and pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, reading, listening comprehension, or a combination of these areas.

If you are a complete beginner, don't worry — we can start from the very basics, including the Cyrillic alphabet and essential phrases, and progress step by step. If you already speak some Russian, we can focus on improving your fluency, expanding your vocabulary and making your speech sound more natural.

My goal is to create a comfortable and supportive environment where you can practice Russian without being afraid of making mistakes. Lessons can also include topics related to Russian culture and everyday communication, depending on your interests.

About Me

Hi! I'm Arina, a native Russian speaker currently pursuing my Master's degree in Communication and Economics, with a specialization in Marketing and Transformative Economy, at Università della Svizzera italiana (USI) in Switzerland.

I have an international academic background and have studied in the UK, Switzerland and China. I know from my own experience what it is like to learn and use foreign languages, so I understand the challenges students can face when learning a new language.

My approach is friendly, patient and flexible. I adapt lessons to each student's level, goals and interests, whether you want to start Russian from zero, improve your speaking and pronunciation, understand grammar, expand your vocabulary, or simply become more confident in everyday conversations.

As a native speaker, I can also help you understand natural, everyday Russian and the cultural context behind the language. My goal is to create a comfortable environment where you can practice, ask questions and make mistakes without pressure.

Experience / Qualifications

Native Russian speaker and fluent English speaker with an international academic background. I also study Chinese (HSK 3) and Italian, which gives me first-hand experience with the language-learning process and helps me understand the challenges students may face.

Experienced in communicating with people from different cultural backgrounds through international study, university projects and customer-facing roles. Lessons can be conducted in English and adapted to beginners and intermediate Russian learners.
