Talk in Japanese with confidence! Your teacher will guide you!

From 55 C$ /h

Have you ever wondered why you can read and write Japanese but still can’t speak it?
You know the grammar, vocabulary, and expressions, but when it comes to speaking, it’s hard. Native Japanese speakers talk fast, use words you don’t know, and it can be difficult to make friends.

You need a teacher who understands your level and guides you step by step so you can actually use what you’ve learned. I offer lessons tailored to your level.

My students, even those who haven’t passed JLPT N5, can chat almost entirely in Japanese for an hour. With consistent practice, they gain the confidence to speak with native Japanese people, not just teachers.

If you want to be able to speak Japanese, give a lesson a try!

About Me

Hi, my name is Shiki, a certified Japanese teacher with 16 years of experience. I love making lessons fun and engaging, and I can tailor them to be as serious or relaxed as you like. I help students improve their Japanese step by step, especially their speaking skills.

I’ve taught in Japan and abroad at language schools, universities, software companies, and as a private tutor. I offer lessons for all levels, including JLPT preparation, business Japanese, free conversation, and news-based lessons.

In my lessons, speaking practice is prioritized so you can confidently express yourself. Even beginners can enjoy 30–60 minutes of conversation, while intermediate and advanced learners discuss a wide range of topics, from work and news to hobbies and favorite media.

Lessons are mainly online, I look forward to helping you achieve your Japanese goals!

JLPT Last-Minute Preparation. Questions and mock tests(N5-N1)

60 C$ /h

Want to pass the JLPT?
This lesson focuses on working through practice questions and mock tests while identifying the areas you need to strengthen. Solve as many questions as you can, then review and check the ones you got wrong. Speed is also important.

In the lessons, we focus on solving questions in the same format as the JLPT. You’ll learn efficiently why you made mistakes, what to watch out for, and which points to review.

I also give advice on how to study outside of lesson time. Let’s work together to reach your goal!

In my lessons, I may use Japanese textbooks ("Minna no Nihongo" beginner level, "Irodori" online site) or original materials.

For beginners, I also use English or Chinese. At the intermedite levels, lessons are primarily conducted in Japanese so that students can be exposed to as much Japanese as possible.

My Japanese lessons can be individually tailored: If you only want to learn to speak and understand, we can of course focus on that – however, if you are more interested in reading and writing, we will focus accordingly.

As a native Japanese speaker who grew up in Tokyo and is a certified language trainer, I can easily tailor my lessons to your needs: whether you prefer a relaxed, slow learning pace or an intensive course. The most important thing is that you enjoy learning and make visible progress that you can be proud of :)

Depending on the circumstances, lessons can also take place on site (after prior arrangement), otherwise they take place very easily online.

I’m Lea, a native bilingual French–Japanese speaker, translator and interpreter, with JLPT N1. I’m based in Japan.

My lessons are immersive: we speak as much Japanese as possible from day one, through real-life situations (at the konbini, at a restaurant, while traveling...). I use my own illustrated worksheets, with answer keys and homework, so you keep progressing between lessons. Together, we set your goals: traveling, understanding anime or songs, passing the JLPT...

I teach in French, Japanese and English (intermediate level).

All levels are welcome. Book a lesson and let’s build your learning path together!

Hello! Do you dream of ordering ramen in Tokyo, understanding your anime without subtitles, passing the JLPT, or communicating with your Japanese colleagues? You've come to the right place!

My name is Célia, a passionate Japanese teacher with a Master's degree in Japanese Studies specializing in didactics and linguistics. I have been teaching for over 6 years to a wide variety of students: middle and high school students, adults retraining or in professional training, manga enthusiasts... and even learners on the other side of the world.

How are my classes going?
Here, there are no lessons where you copy vocabulary lists for an hour. I use an action-oriented approach: you learn Japanese by doing concrete things (introducing yourself, shopping, talking about your weekend, writing a message...). You speak from the very first session, at your own pace and without pressure.

Mistakes are welcome, that's how we progress!

What I offer you:
🌸 Learn hiragana and katakana in just a few weeks, with tips to easily remember them
🗣️ Speaking, speaking, and more speaking, in real-life situations
📚 A clear progression, with recognized textbooks (Marugoto, Genki...) or a 100% personalized program
🎯 Targeted preparation for the JLPT (N5 to N3)
🍵 And throughout the course, cultural gems: customs, folklore, everyday expressions... Because language is only a reflection of culture.

Whether you're a complete beginner, a student who has "started out on your own with an app", or a learner looking to take your skills to the next level: each course is tailored to your goals, your level and your pace. Children, teens and adults are all welcome.

Book your first lesson and let's take the first step together. Let's go!

Planning a trip to Japan? Want to read your first Japanese words or better understand the dialogues in your favorite manga? Start step by step, with explanations in English and a program adapted for beginners.

In the program :
• Hiragana and katakana to get into reading;
• Basic pronunciation, vocabulary and grammar;
• Initial interactions: introducing oneself, ordering, asking for directions;
• Short dialogues and manga excerpts based on your interests.

We distinguish between colloquial expressions and useful, polite everyday language. Each session combines review, exploration of a language point, and practical application.

My Japanese level is JLPT N2. These courses are designed for beginners and the first stages of learning.

English courses, in Toulouse, either in person or online.

First lesson offered — 1 hour: discussion on your objectives, discovery or identification of your basics, mini-lesson and guided dialogue, then review and proposal of a suitable path.
